Hey All, we received PPR this morning.

Application submitted June 19 2019.
Application process began Nov 2019.
1st medical August 2021
2nd medical request Aug 2022.
3rd medical request Feb 2024
Decision Made on ECAS 11 March 2024
Pre Arrival Service Letter 11 March 2024
PPR 15 March 2024
Took almost 5 years for the PR as my father was a police officer in India.
I lost my dad a few months ago, so had to notify IRCC to process only my mother's application.
Took 5 years for the PR, hopefully no one has to go through this stress and agonizing pain that we had to go through!
Good luck everyone
Thank you very much for your sharing information! I am so sad to hear this story.

I submitted my parents' application on Oct 2022. They passed medical exam on Oct 2023 and after that their case is in security check, criminal check and reviewing eligibility. The reason is because my dad was a stand guard (for 3 years) more than 50 years ago. I am not sure how long their case will be cleared.

All the best to you and your family!

Sorry to hear about your loss! Your mother has to be changed to principal applicant now to make her enter to Canada.

Hey there,
I hope you all are doing well. I am going through the PGP process and trying to find more info on the PGP - CV/Resume part. Just wondering how did you handle the CV/Resume section? Did you make CV for both parents or just the principal applicant?

Thanks

Both parents, search the forum for sample, its very basic, for mother with no profession you may write home maker, be peculiar about dates, it should be matching with address history, education and work history etc.

Applied for Supervisa from outside Canada.
Applied On : 28/June/2024
Passport request: 20/July/2024

Here’s the catch: Name is different on application submission letter & passport request letter, rest of the details including Biometric numbers and application, address all info same.

Applicant’s spousal name is part of given name but IRCC put applicant’s father name instead.

What should I do? I sent webform but it will take long & only 30 days timelimit to send passport for visa stamping.

They don’t talk on call for outland visitor visa application.

OR Should I just send for stamping?

Hello everyone, can someone share their parents landing experience? The steps involved? They will arrive soon and they would like to know what the procedure is. Basically once they hand over the COPR, they will need to move to another location for their SIN number right? Then to Goods to Follow section? Where do they get the form? I did my own landing so many years ago, that I have very vague recollection of the process and may be forgetting something. Also how long does it take to get the physical PR card? Finally, where is the best place to get a SIM card when they land? what is the cost. They use whatsapp a lot, so best to get good data. Thank you everyone!

I am waiting for my parents PR - for 5 years 3 months and counting
Did medical two times - last one was done November 2022 and since then we are waiting for almost 2 years now.
Contacted my - local MP and her office informed me that the file is still is in Security Check. MP office also asked me to check back in 3 months.
i read in one of the thread that - security check can take up 2 months to 1 year. For us it seems like taking forever.
Should i apply for GCMS ? Based on - MPs note - can i expect my file moving or at least security check approval in next 3 month?
My last two medical was called on October/November time frame - should i expect something in next 2 months? I know there are many applications are waiting for more than 5 years - should we all expect our file moving and making decision soon?

Well
You come out of aircraft than reach at kiosk in which you scan passport and camera take picture and you type your information including custom declaration. After this you go to immigration counter, officer will stamp copr keep one copy with him self and return one to you. Now go to customs if you have to declare over 10k CAD other wise go out and go home. Next day go to service canads office for sin registration. Also go to service ontario for photo id and health card. If you land on holidays sin registering is not available at airport. Remember me in your prayers

Yes, you can request GCMS notes.
Please do not loose hope! It is still in process!
Many are not fortunate to get this chance!

Hey there applicants from Pakistan who obtained a PCC for their parents.

I’m trying to get a PCC for my parents. They have lived at their current address for the last 25 years and that is their permanent address on their CNIC. However before that time, they have lived at multiple locations in Karachi and likely had different permanent addresses on their CNIC (I was too young to remember what was on their old CNIC).

The PCC that we obtained from the relevant jurisdiction just mentions the current address (the permanent one) and says they have lived at this address for the last 25 years and have had no criminal record during this time. But my concern is that it doesn’t mention all the previous locations they lived in (in Karachi). Do I need to go to different police jurisdictions in Karachi based on their previous permanent addresses on their CNIC and get clearance from their as well? Please let me know if anyone has experienced something similar. Would really appreciate it. Thank you!

I haven't encountered similar situation but different cities of sindh I obtained different certificates. Try your luck because it will be big heck to obtain from each PS. What address history you wrote in form? Did you mention multiple addresses?
