is it advisable to reach out to the office processing your application and if yes how does one contact the specific office?

It seems that the sponsorship for this year is again from the pool of 2020. Is this true or are they taking new applicants? This seems very unfair.

That is right. Selecting from the pool of 2020.
Looks like they are not going to open more Interest To Sponsor applications, only after clearing the backlog of about 470,000 applications. Doing a simple math here. Its about 17 years before they start taking new Invites.

i am in similar situation. Applied June 2019. Medical will expire next month. I have called almost every for the past 2 months all agents said they can’t do anything as application is awaiting decision making. All webform sent have been ignored as well. Medical will expire next month.
Please what did you do to get past the “in process” stage after such a long processing time?

If their medical expires when IRCC is ready to process their application to the next stage, they will request medical again. There is nothing you can do.

Please Look into the matter. Also, help me get added to the group, and remove Barinder who is now the admin from the group. This section as specified clearly lays rule where there is no space for political opinion. Please help.

Hi, it is the regular landing procedure just like any other PR. The only additional doc would be if they have medical survelliance letter, otherwise you have covered the important documents

Hello everyone, I am living in Montreal and just got an invitation for my parents sponsorship. I get confused abit about the application IMM 0008 since they ask when did we apply for the CSQ. I just apply for the PR for my parents and according to my understanding, I need to apply for Federal first and then they will send the letter to apply for CSQ after. Maybe some of you will encounter the same situation. My parents landed around 2 years ago, they spent their first trip here 6 months then back home and came back for another 6 months. Is it worth it to maintain their PR status here? My parents are now in their 70s, they enjoyed their time here but really don't see the long-term future here. I am debating whether or not to review their PR card after the first 5 years or just forgo it.

I am not familiar with your personal circumstances. However, I suppose PR renewal is just $50 per person (and add photograph costs to that).
There is a potential scenario that one of them is left alone in this world, in which case the one left may want to be with the children. I see several folks waiting desperately to get selected in the lottery and many more waiting for the interest pool to re-open. In short if I were in your shoes I would try my best to convince them to get it renewed.

From his previous post, looks like it's for PR.

my grandparents landed last week. All you need is passport and COPR letter. They will also need ArriveCan and proof of COVID vaccination. They also carried the passport request letter with them but was not necessary. I would also write down your address so they can give to the officer if they ask.

Does anyone know the current processing times to get PR card within Canada? My mother got a passport request letter so I submitted a webform that she is in Canada but she is going back to India for two months in 8-10 days.
Should we complete the virtual landing here in Canada and once the PR card is delivered, I can send it to my mother in India and she can travel back or it's easier to submit passport in India only and the passport will be returned within 2 months?
I heard PR card can take 6 months to arrive within Canada.
