My application for sponsoring my parents was delivered on June 21st by Canada Post. What should I expect next? Do I get an email from CIC?

@canuck78 all are considering last year majority of processed application.. Most got processed in 6-10 months so people has high expectation. And why dont we have it as it is for our togetherness with parents.. Nothing wrong to be inpatient when it comes to parents.

But I too understand your point of view..

Did they state any reason, why they are asking for the form again?

Well, they just said that I am missing some information. They were not specific, but I found out that I have left in Section B - Relationship - the box blank. It was my fault. I hope that it was all. I've sent it immediately by email and now have to wait. Can't link the application as my file still has XF number.

I feel like just getting to your file is the long wait. Once they strat processing it moves faster.


It's at least better than 6-7 years of long wait before.

Update I could link my parents file on Jun 28, 2019.

But I wonder as on main (home) page it only states submitted where as in full status it states we are processing your file. So not sure what to give i.e. submitted or in process.
