I don't think it's correct but I don't think how to correctly fill in that form.
If you are co-signing to sponsor each other's parents, then both of you are having 4 people as undertakings.
You still need to show proof of income for 7 in your case . You can contact CIC if there are any doubts

Guys. For this parent class sponsorship application, I always can come up with a lot of questions...

Now, I just have an another one. My wife just got pregnant, should I inform the cic after my child's birth?? because my family size is going to change next year? Does it effect the application that I have submit. When I calculate my income, I just use 4. However after my child born, it will become 5. It will only effect 2020, right?? Because my child will be born in 2020.

So in 2018 and 2019, I should meet the criteria, which income should be over LICO + 30% for 4.
In 2020, I should meet the criteria, which income should be over LICO + 30% for 5.

This email is reminder that last date to submit application is 28th June.
Please do not worry. As long as you are sure your application has been received, you are OK. We have seen people who already have ecas available also receive this email, so its a general reminder email and I am sure you will also receive it in due course.
Thanks for sharing. I think it may be an additional day for me.

Hello all, I have received an invitation to file for my grandparent (mom's mother). I have completed most the forms and am stuck at the sporting documentation proving the relationship between sponsor (myself) and applicant (my grandmother)...
...issue is my mother's birth certificate doesn't have her mother's name printed. Apparently, it has a note on her birth certificate saying that any birth certificate issues before 1965 does not have mother's name?? nonetheless, it has her father's name (which is besides the point as he has passed away some time ago).. As part of the supporting requirement, I need to provide my birth cert (that shows my mother's name) and my mother's birth cert (that shows her mother's name - which it doesn't).. So as an alternative, to substantiate the relationship, can I put my mother's passport (Indian) that shows her both mother and father's name and copy of my grandmother's passport that shows her name and her husband's name. And join the dots that way, explaining in a letter? Below is what I have drafted:

Proof of Principal application’s relationship to Sponsor

Although I have provided the necessary documentation required to prove the relationship between myself and my grandmother (i.e. Birth certificate of myself and my mother) – Birth certificates that were issued in the Indian province of my mother did not include mother’s names had they were issued prior to year 1965.

As an alternative, to substantiate the relationship, I have here by provided:

(a) My birth certificate that shows my mother’s name - proving relationship between myself and my mother

(b) Copy of my Mother’s passport that shows both her parents, mother’s (my grandmother) and her father’s (my grandfather) full names.

(c) Copy of my Grandmother’s passport that shows her full name and her husband’s (my grandfather) full name, both matching with my mother parents’ names on her passport (b).

I think it should be fine depending on which officer is dealing with your application. By the guidelines, they state that you need to have that info in your parents birth certificate. Having an affidavit (usually notarized) can help support it better when we don't have an exact document. Usually notary guys have standard wording that can be used for such affidavits, good luck,

@danny_scars hey you delivered already? Haven't seen you around.

Anyway looking at some of the questions here.......I am going to predict that there will be a number who will try to send in their applications AFTER the DEADLINE is due.

And the question that they will ask is whether they can send a letter to explain why they were late etc.

So I'll ask it first. Can people send it in past the deadline and write a letter to say why they were late?

Eg oh I have been trying to sponsor my parents for 10 years and finally got a spot and we tried to get my parents to sign the documents but there were delays, my father is sick and was hospitalized/my mother got into an accident etc etc.

Anyone know if IRCC will accept that and still process applications submitted AFTER the due date?
You know the answer!

Hi guys, I'm going to send my parent sponsorship application tomorrow.

I just buy a XpressPost document envelope and put all documents into it. Or I need another sealed envelope?

Cautious advice to all (based on the information provided in this thread): If you send the mail via priority overnight, you will not see it delivered in the tracking. Some people also reported issue with DHL.

Save yourself from money and hassle, if you have to send it late, send it by 26th morning via Canada Post Xpress with signature required option. Will cost you $23.

CANADAPOST / XPRESSPOST is indeed the best option! they deliver straight to SCI (logistic / delivery & recipient partner) for CIC.

Right, the new family member will be counted for the year when the child is born. Good bless, that is exciting news!
