Hi friends, so what do you think: they have invited 27k and they will process only 20k this year what would happen to 7000 left over, would they be carried forward to next year or rejected.

they will most likely get first pick next year.

Hi there,
I am acting as a representative for my parents' application and gave my Canadian mailing address and my personal email for the future communication, but now I am just wondering in the end when they ask original passport of my parents for the visa stamp, will they deliver it back to my address? or there is any option like my parents can go to the embassy directly to get the visa stamp on their passports?

But what if they are invited. Have they increased the quota from 20k to 27k , because no where they have mentioned that out of 27k invitees only first 20k will be processed . They said if you are not invited...but they have invited 27k . Does not submitting into first 20k would fall into category of not invited.

The annual quota or annual target level for each immigration category is established at the end of the previous year. I do not think they can just increase the quota like that.

How does one check the E-Case status for sponsor?

The annual quota or annual target level for each immigration category is established at the end of the previous year. I do not think they can just increase the quota like that.

No increase in quota. IRCC knows that there will be a shortfall because many of the 27,000 are not eligible and will not even apply. Many will apply but dont qualify.

There will be a second FIFO this year.

I can assure you that they will not even get 20k "complete" applications from the ~26.6K that they have invited. There are appx 10 people in the 500 pages of this thread alone who have "suddenly discovered" that they do not have the necessary income; yet, had applied, were invited, and have essentially "wasted" these spots.

I also personally know of two other families from GTHA (not on this forum) who have had a "change of plans" since they received the invitation letters - i.e. parents don't want to move here permanently anymore and won't be applying at all - again a waste of two spots. One family's attitude was - let's just apply, we will take a call when we get invited if we want to really do this / our parents "really" want to move or not. Once they discovered the fees required, they dropped the idea. Parents from the other family "suddenly decided" they did not want to give up on their citizenship (their country does not allow for dual citizenship) in the long run so, dropped the idea completely.
I am sure there are many such cases.

Let's stop worrying about something that is clearly not in our hands, is based on pure speculation and focus on our respective applications and / or helping other members with their queries which is indeed the focus of this thread...

They won't process more than 20k apps this year - I dont think.

If u weren't invited, the best u can do is wait until they publish something. Anything anybody says at this point is speculation. Though they were very clear than they won't do any more than 20k apps this year.

Personally, I believe they will do another round of invitations, thanks to the dumb dumbs that are not eligible and still applied but again, best thing to do it wait until CIC announces any news

My Dear fellow Sponsor friends!!
I got chance to talk with IRCC agent, She didnot able to locate my file as per my UCI but with Receipt number confirmed that my application has been received on May 2nd ( confusion as Canada Post e signature says delivered on May 3rd)
When I asked about my situation of missing to write names in Native language, she said it's just name but she said if you want peace of mind you can always submit updated form using your UCI . Temporary file number will change .
Those whose ECAS status has been updated, those are the luckiest one whose application seems complete and in process. She said it's just perspective.
