@joyus . Your ecas is not available using parents or your UCI, or the confirmed file number ?. That will be strange, given you are at a stage of medical request.
Email below explained how to access ecas/link application but to no use for me
Good day,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. As discussed, you will find below complementary information to our conversation:
Linking an application - Checking status and linking
There are two ways you can check your application status online. You can verify the status of your application:
- Submitted by mail (if it was not linked to an online account):
- Submitted online or submitted by mail and linked to an online account:
- through your online account.
If you wish to link an application submitted by mail to your online account, you must login in your account first. Then:
- Please click on Add (link) your application to your account,
- Enter the information exactly as you did on your application form,
- if you made updates after you applied, please enter the most recent information,
- Once you have linked your application to your account, all messages about your application will be sent to you through that account. You will no longer receive letters by mail about your application.
You may consult our
website in order to obtain more information regarding which types of applications can be linked to an online account.
e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online service, you will be asked to enter personal information, such as:
- The identification number related to the specific application, immigration document or correspondence received from IRCC,
- Your last name(s) as they appear on your application or identity documents,
- Your date of birth, and
- Your place of birth.
Can’t see your application status?
You may want to verify if:
- The application is still in process:
- the status of an application will only be available once the process has started,
- once a decision is made, the application status is eventually removed.
- The type of application submitted is included in e-CAS:
- temporary residence information is not available in e-CAS (visitor record, work or study permit),
- applicants who used their online account to submit their application will receive an email update once a decision has been reached regarding their application.
- If you are the sponsor or principal applicant of an immigration application:
- the sponsor will only have access to information about the sponsorship part of the application,
- the applicant will only have access to information about the PR part of the application,
- family members included in an immigration application will be able to view their profile, but not the status of their application.
- The correct information is being entered:
- sponsors or principal applicants for immigration and all citizenship applicants may enter their personal information to access the case status,
- dependents included in sponsorship or PR applications cannot use their own personal information to do so.
- There are any differences in how your personal information was recorded:
- verify how your information appears in the application, immigration document or correspondence received from IRCC and compare it to what appears on your passport or identity documents to determine if there are any errors.
- There is a temporary technical issue:
- sometimes online services may be temporarily unavailable due to regular system maintenance.
- You are using a browser that is supported by e-CAS:
- this service is currently supported by Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
If needed, more information on
accessing your case status online is available for you.
there are no matches:
- Your application hasn’t been entered into our system yet.
- The information entered doesn’t match exactly what you indicated on your application.
- You selected an incorrect application category.
- We are experiencing some technical issues with some applications.
You could also be experiencing difficulties because:
- An immigration representative is handling your file,
- if you have hired a representative, only that person can access the application status (through the Authorized Paid Representatives Portal),
- if you chose to remove the representative from your file to be able to link your application, please select cancelling the appointment of a representative on the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form, and upload it to your account,
- once that information is processed, you will be able to link your application.
- Our system could be down.
Please note that you can try to link an application 5 times. If you are unsuccessful after 5 attempts, you will be locked out for 24 hours.
Still experiencing difficulties?
