Hello All,

So finally after 2 weeks of ecas status "Decision Made" , my parents have got passport submission request to Ottawa office . But, They are currently in India. Do they have to fill IRCC web form in order to inform IRCC about their current country of residence? Anybody else in same kind of situation?

Hi, I just received PPR, one of the asked document is The height and eye colour (for both eyes) for the Principal Applicant and all of his accompanying defendants. My question is do I write it down on a piece of paper or something else?

My parents went to the Beijing office yesterday and submitted their passports along with other docs requested. I created two Word docs for them - one for height and eye color, and one for their contact info as requested on the CVAC's website. They printed them out on two separate piece of papers, and handed them in. There wasn't any issues. I believe the height and eye color is for the VISA and CORP, and the contact info is just for the CVAC Beijing office to contact you if needed.

The Beijing office uses EMS for courier services. I don't know how it works if your parents submit their package remotely. Based on my parents' experience, no one will answer your questions until you are there in person. My parents had to go in person, the Beiijng office gave them the EMS envelopes to fill out after they accepted their package. One envelope per passport, so you need to pay courier fees multiple times depending on the number of passports submitted.

Once my parents got to the Beijing VISA office in person though, everything was formal and smooth. Hope this helps!

I want to add that your parents can submit their package via courier services, going in-person is not required. The tricky part is that they need to know exactly what docs are needed (in what format) and the exact amount of fees they need to pay. If they miss anything, the Beijing VISA office will either contact them or return their package for re-submission, but they do have 30 days. My parents were in a rush because they have a trip booked in November, so they need their passports back sooner than later.

Today Sponsor ship application status changed to Application Received again. Any idea what it could mean, i receive any email ? PR app status is still in process.

Hi, I have a question for u not sure if u know.y parents also need to mail the passsport to Beijing, but not sure if I also need to include the other envelope for the return passport? If not, how can I provide the mailing address?

You don’t need to provide the returning envelop, you need to provide returning mailing information including Address, phone number, receiver name on a piece of paper, you need to pay 213+46.10=259.10 yuan for one passport ( transfer money to their account ), Beijing office will send passport to your parents. JennyXu1984’s comments have more information. Don’t forget to fill out the consent form.,just follow the website requirement.

My parent's status changed to "Medicals Passed" directly within 1-2 weeks after the doctor uploaded the (e-medical) report to IRCC. There was no interim "medicals received" update.

Hello folks,
I have submitted the sponsorship documents for my dad on October 5, 2018. He was selected in the second round of lottery.
I have been working for over 6 years and don't have any income shortfall issues (with God's grace).
wondering if anybody knows the actual time lines. CIC website give a ball park 2 year / 22 month wait time but I have heard cases being processed earlier too. My dad is 83, so biometrics are not required. He has been here every year for the past 4 years and holds a super visa.
any guidance about the timeline is much appreciated.
