Hello everyone,
Great news to share- got PPR August 20, 2018, 10:41 PM ET .. unbelievably fast processing by CPC Ottawa!!
Good luck to everyone else whose application is under process.

FYI- PPR received via email even though we added application to MYCIC account.

Cheers!!!
Congrats! So I assume passports will need to be submitted to CPC-O ? Are your parents already in Canada ?

I'm being processed at Ottawa, but parents are in home country. I suppose they would have to courier their passports to me and then I submit to Ottawa. And then finally courier them back to my parents after visa stamping. Wonder if local visa office can also issue landing visas.

Hi All,
I submitted my intent to sponsor my parents and luckly was invited to submit the application for the same. I submitted the application, which reached Ottawa on May 20th 2018, after which I haven't received any information from IRCC. I called the contact center but the call didn't have any option to speak for a sponsorship application and for PR application it requires application number. I am in a catch 22 situation I haven't received any information from IRCC so don't have the application #, without which can't talk to the IRCC agent.
Any help on how I can reach out to IRCC is appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

Call center number is 1-888-242-2100. There is an option for sponsorship (I think it's 3). You would need to select a few more options after that before being finally connected to an agent. Last option would be 0 to speak to a live person.

Call center number is 1-888-242-2100. Option 2-1-3 then 0 to speak to an IRCC agent. Have your UCI from citizenship certificate or Permanent Resident Card so they can check your info.

Hi I am a bit confused here. I am planning to sponsor my father. My question is, my baby was born on 2018 so my family size became 3 but before that we were 2. Should the income threshold vary based on number of family member or it should be simple 3 plus my father = 4 family members income threshold for three consecutive years?
That's correct. Family size is determined when you submit the application.

Lol ok that makes sense, thank you :)

Is it safe to assume that since we received the invitation to apply for PR that it means the application will likely be approved?
There is no guarantee of approval just because you get an invitation to apply.

Are you sure about this ? Though i am not 100% but I don't think so that he need to put / meet LICO for family of 4 for 3 years ?

On Financial evaluation form he need to enter income and family size year by year. Of course he need to meet family of 4 in the year he is applying not sure about past meeting when family size was 2.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have a question that I really appreciate it if anyone could answer. I have lived in Quebec till July 2017 and then moved to Ontario. My annual income in Quebec was around $42000 (which was above $39000_minimum income in Quebec) for the years 2015 and 2016. My 2017 annual income was $54000 though (the year that I submitted my tax from Ontario). I got a message yesterday saying that I was not illegible to sponsor my parents and my application has been transferred to Ankara. I submitted a letter through webform noting that I have lived in Quebec for the years 2015 and 2016 when I had lower incomes and asked them to kindly reassess my application. Do you that there is any chance for me to be illegible after all? if not, do you think it's a good idea to ask for a refund or let the application to be processed in Ankara?

Thanks

They only apply the rule for Quebec if you ARE a Quebec resident. Otherwise, the general LICO for all other provinces apply.

It's your choice to continue the application or not.
