I read in multiple locations that chances for such as appeal to succeed are quite low.

No harm in trying though

Waste of time and effort, even appeal will not work in this case. He don't meet the basic criteria here on what basis he will appeal ?

by the time he will appeal the judge/officer will look at the financial conditions at that time so there are some chances and who know what will happen to this lottery system in coming few years.
Again like i said no harm in trying since the user has already sent the application.
Its my opinion.

She did not go to any school and has no education at all. Should i write the year and month she was born to 2018 and in education field write none and NA in rest of the fields?

Hello, I have a question and I would appreciate answers.

I applied for the parents sponsorship application for 2018, however for some reason I thought that the year I apply for is taken into the LICO three years. Apparently it is not, and during 2015 I took a year off to study French, however my income in 2016, 2017 and 2018 is CONSIDERABLY higher than the required to sponsor my parents.

My friends said since I got selected, and if I do not apply, this will severely harm my future chances at being re-selected -like next year-. Some suggested I apply with an explanation letter and request assessing me based on all the years going forward, just not 2015 because it was the only year I took off.

Any advice on how to proceed?

Oh no... the rules and conditions are written right on the website when you submit your express of interest.
I don't think they will accept your application but certainly you can try next year though

No Bro. Appeal don't work like that. Appeal is for some thing when you think that there is error on CIC part and you meet the criteria 100%.

In his case he we already know that he don't meet the LICO. Criteria is set and he don't meet that. What will be the base of appeal in his case ? Only harm to go for appeal process that no Immigration lawyer is free.

No, the judge checks if they were qualified at the time they applied.

It will cost considerable time and lawyer fees just to get to the appeal date which may be years after the initial app rejection. This woudl cause him to miss out on applying for parents when he actually does qualify.

I haven't received anything so far. My application was delivered May11. But I got the first reminder last week. They might be sending me the second one tomorrow or very soon today!

Expecting bulk AORs. If you look at file most of AOR came only on 19th April. Hopeful and expecting same on 19th May + 2 to 3 days for applicants in waiting line.

Someone told in this forum that they sent out 15000 invitations based on the amount of confirmation numbers that they posted on line. In this case it is definitely possible that 10000 people out of 15000 applied.
