I sponsored my MIL in 2018 from QC just like you.
She is currently in Canada and was also in Canada at the time of application.
I received CSQ in July.
I received generic letter for PCC, biometrics, imm5562 etc on 27 Sep.
May i ask whether your parents were here or back home during this whole process?
Can you suggest how my application will unfold since she is currently here?
I mean PCC i can do here but what about medical, biometrics and PPR? I am confused.

Hello guys ! I am really confused and need your kind help , my brother filed my parents sponsorship for the draw in 2018 they were not selected in initial draw but later were selected around aug 2018 , the fees was paid and application submitted in 2018 December , we were given two numbers
Sponsers uci and application number
in april 2019 by brother account showed notification that the process just started and time line is 20-24 month

is this ok ? I am confused did my brother do something wrong , if my situation makes sense to anyone , please help me we were of the opinion that once application us accepted it gets processed under a year.

Just curious to ask , if any of forum member(s) experienced the same situation as I have, we added a dependent child to parents sponsorship application after receiving the passport request, we were ask to submit the additional document which we submitted, now waiting for new updates from LVO. Does any one know how much time do they usually take for re-assess the file and to send new communication(s)?

Anybody experienced this? I got a credit of $170 posted by CITIZENSHIP & IMM ON-L OTTAWA today...I wonder why? I guess I overpaid...I paid $2250 for all the fees...

No update since Medicals received and passed on Aug 1, 2019. Who should I reach out to expedite the process?

As long as the application is within the normal processing time nobody can expedite the process. However you can call CIC call center and ask for an update, they can tell you where your application is and if everything is in order

Not much anybody can do my friend...You can see my timeline to get an idea. I cant access the spreadsheet from work but I understand 2nd round London Visa Office applicants are mostly waiting. If your parents are in Pakistan, your visa office is most likely London.
To start with, check the ECAS status (Google ECAS). Also link your application to MyCIC.

For those of you who were requested to submit parent's CV, service details, travel details etc. due to govt. employment - did this delay the BGC process much? I submitted these docs last week to Mississauga and for now it just shows as "additional documents uploaded" in cic account. Just wondering how long it might take to get to 'Decision Made' and PPR...

I sent passports on 25 sep and they were delivered on sep 26.

They may have refunded the Bio-metric fees as your parents may be exempt from it.

Re-posting again as I haven't received a response

Hello,
My mothers sponsorship application is in Acrra.
I received sponsorship approval in March 2019 and processing began shortly.
On Sept 27, we received pre arrival services letter
On Sept 30, we received medical, police certificate request and we were also asked to submit passport to VAC.

However, my mum is currently in Toronto visiting using her visitor visa and cannot submit passport to VAC(there is none in Canada).
I called the call center and agent asked me to send web form or call VAC.
Can anyone advise? Where do we send her passport within Canada? They have asked that we send within 2 weeks so this is very urgent.

Also, is it normal that they have asked for passport along with medical and police certificate?
