Hi Guys,
Do anyone facing the similar issue which I am facing while preparing for computerized IELTS exam.

For practicing, I have been using the notepad for writing, however, I do find my performance is degrading. I initially thought it would be comfortable instead I made so many mistakes which includes spell error( which happened frequently, though I know the spelling of that word, while typing I made the mistake unknowingly).
Some grammatical errors with the sentence as well, while writing in the paper it was easy to build the sentence but harder to write especially when erasing or rewriting. In computerized, it was easy to rewrite but the sentence framing is quite harder.

I don't know am I lack in the typing skills or not but switching from paper to computerized need more practice, it is not a piece of cake. For someone it would work but for others it would reverse fire.

Let know if anyone feels the same, I had given the exam 4 times in paper-based IELTS and now in a dilemma.

I have registered for 24th November CBT BC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I will make it through this attempt and be done with IELTS, insha allah.

3 In listening 2 mins are given at the end of each section to check the answers, there 4-5 sections so the cumulative extra time comes to 8-10 mins.

Listening is only 4 sections. 2 minutes seems a lot at the end of each section. I remember with paper-based test it is 30 seconds for last section review and another 30 seconds for the next section preview. At least, it felt that long. It could be 2 minutes for PBT too.

Yes you will make it. God bless you.
Why it is only 30 sec in PB is because at end of exam they give solid 10 min for transferring the answer to answer sheet. But, in CB its not given, instead 2 min in-between of each section. Never try to write the answers on paper thinking of transfer it later to computer. That's not feasible with give time frame at end. Try to answer on-spot.

This site will be helpful for practicing. They tried to simulate as CB for listening and reading. Try all 8 volumes.

All the BEST.

I can understand their logic but this will definitely give a huge advantage to CBP. Having 2 minutes to preview each section will do the world of good. My biggest weakness in Listening is I found time to read before the prompt being too short specially matching information question type and MCQ. I am relieved.

Fantastic. I’ll check it out. I have been looking for CB simulation test and even asked the test center. Thank you so much.

I have a question... Is it okay if we write all block letters for the answers ?
It is not good to write all in block letter, Because they need to know whether you know whats noun and for what capital has to be used.

Its better to stick to normal writings.

Hi,

Is anyone here who have taken CB on 3rd Nov and waiting for the results? Wanted to check did the results are out??

Thanks

I will take a computer based exam this December. Is it okay to write my answer on reading and listening exam in all capital letters?
