Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Can we all collectively write an email to the the High Commission of Canada in Islamabad, providing then our case numbers, requesting urgent action on humanitarian grounds?

I doubt they approve any study permit on Humanitarian Grounds.

Write them a plain e.mail and all details about your case including full details of your scholarship and humbly request to expedite processing

I am a may applicant and applied paper based and have not heard from CHC yet. I sent them a case specific enquiry and got an auto reply that my application is in process and under review. I talked to my college and they do not defer the admission so I have already applied for next semester intake because I think even if I get a call now it will take good 2 -3 weeks to get medical done and passport stamp. I see many June online applicants complaining about the wait but in general the online applicants are processed slow for some unknown reason. I called the embassy general line and they told me its taking anywhere between 12-16 weeks to get a reply. However some applications are processed really quick as well. Any june or onwards applicant if your 12 weeks are not done, dont bother sending them an email as the website says if you are sending an email within normal processing time they wont even reply.

Please keep everyone in your prayers and hopefully we all will be rewarded for our patience.

Sharp,

Thank you for your reply. Given the deadly delay, has anyone considered the possibility of deferring our offers to next semester? Is that possible? And what about our scholarships :(

there's a deadline by which we have to arrive, if we do not , we can't enrol later in Fall 2015.

I'm most probably going to defer my course to Jan '16. I can't possibly pack and leave in just 2 weeks.
I think it's wise to reach there at least 2 weeks before classes start so that we can familiarize ourselves with the place and the routes.

Can you please mention the number you called?

I recently talked to the visa help office in my Uni and they said that while it looks that your file is being processed in your country, this is sometimes not the case. CIC operates a central system, which distributes work load among other offices in the world and inside Canada.

Considering that some paper applications have been processed and no online have been, it seems that online application are being sent somewhere else, where they have the lowest priority.

What I meant was not that they give us visa in the name of humanity, but that they should process our applications faster (which means both accepting or refusing as per their laws) because of our imminent deadlines.
