Dear AGSHEHERYAR, SLEO, N KHIPAK...
Apollogies for being away n a late reply.... my laptop malfuntioned, so I was tying to be in through cell phone....
Anyways Im back now.....
Sleo...IO i guess means (Investigation officer)....and I dont know of him....I have applied my case through consultant...and have emailed LVO thrice only...without informing my consultant...
So Mr. Javed Mehmood Rana (JMR) Replied my queries....
In my 3 queries I have asked my status twice only...AND 1st inquiry was about my original docs...
I was amazed to see the reply in which JMR said, that your file is pending for review, which will be done shortly. Your medicals are expiring on 30th march 2013.
And in my last inquiry, JMR said,your file is pending for review by an immigration officer.
We are very much aware that ur meds r expiring on
30 march 2013. We will contact u in this due
course of time...
Dont know what is happening.....but one thing which I have understand is that, they are aware when our medicals are expiring, and hopefully Inshallah, they will issue us PPR1, very soon....
I have made some calculations which I would like to share....
today is nov 23, 2012...LVO mostly staff will be gone for chrismise by 15, 20 december.....so inshallah within these 25 days, our turn will come...other wise January will be the month of ppr1..because, they will have to give time to fly as well, and ppr1 to ppr2 it takes 6 weeks, that is mid or end feb 2013, passport stamping another 2 weeks, so start or mid of march I will be able to fly, targeting 30 march as my deadline for landing....
So, every single day, is very important for them as well as for us too....
Inshallah soon very soon, we all also be sharing the good news...
Remember I have calculated the time lines as per my deadline i.e 30th march 2013.

I guess you are the luck one that your file is waiting to be review by a visa officer and your medical is valid till 30th of March.. Still you have more then four months.
But in my case my background / security checks are still on going.. don't know the reason behind this scrutiny, may be bacause of travelling history including Canada.. or may be something else, and my medical date is 22nd of March but my passport is valid till 04th of March 2013.

But on the other hand I just don't know my own intuition is something different from your understanding, I am not sure they are going to touch our cases in 2012 atleast no more cases of NOC-0213 in 2012 from Pakistan/India/Srilanka/Bangladesh.

I don't think so... I guess it has nothing to do with NOC at this stage...

Apart from that in my case, if I do not receive PPR by next Friday then I may get it in Jan. As I am living outside of Pakistan and I guess they will not keep my passport during end of year holidays.

Rest, God knows better.

Blessing in the disguise. While you are waiting for the PPR1 why dont you get a fresh passport? With PPR1 you have to submit photocopy/details of the passport, and that passport will be used for the visa issuance by CHC Islamabad. I had done the same for my son. Apply for an Urgent passport.

You can take extra suitcases/pieces of 23kg each for 60 dollars/each with you. That amount you will have to pay at the time of check in. This is what my travel agent informed me, please correct me if I am wrong.

Correct, I got same information from my travel agent, so this should be true.
We know about size/weight of Hand Carry, what about the size of a suitecase with 23 KG? I am asking because clothings and necessary items are expensive in Canada and we must carry them from Pakistan, and that needs extra suitecases to be purchased. We are a family of four. Any thoughts/comments/research by someone?
I also heard people suggesting to take cartons and through them away instead of buying a number of suitecases that becomes useless after a single use. I also think of soft trolly bags available at Metro, light wieght to carry more items? But again cost saving should be the first priority.
