No no relax. Our qr code didnt work either. This is why pakistani applicants spend longer in BG & Security screening because our PCCs are crapHi,
I recently got the police certificate from Lahore with a QR code on top right of the page. The link in the QR code doesn't work whereas it is mentioned on the certificate that the authenticity of the certificate can be verified through QR code. I'm afraid this might cause an issue if submitted to IRCC as the link doesn't work. Has anyone already submitted the PCC with the QR code and had their PR application processed by IRCC and what was the outcome? It's difficult to talk to our police department about these things as they are not well informed about such issues. Can anyone else kindly share their experience?
Once your application is in Security Screening, it can take anywhere from 6 months to 24 months for your case to be finalized. Nothing much can be done except for waiting patiently. I would like to know how you found out about SS when you requested for GCMS just now?Hi everyone, count me in. Pakistani National working in UAE, received the ITA for FSW in May 2017 and subsequently submitted all required documents in August 2017 through a registered attorney (with in the stipulated 3 months’ time).
As of today, almost 11 months have passed and my case has been referred for "secondary security checks". I would like to know what this is and in what circumstances cases are referred for this. I would also like to know if anyone has faced the same situation and how much more time it will take for my case to be cleared. My attorney has requested for the GCMS notes already but we are yet to receive them. Dont know how useful these will be to understand the situation of my case.
If there is a whatsapp/ telegram group to discuss such matters please do let me know so that i can join.
Look forward to suggestions/ feedback.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. Also do you have a lot of travel history? Where are your PCCs from in Pakistan?
Doesn't sound like a lot of travel history to me. People here had filled over 50 travel slots & still received their PPRs in 60 days. Don't know what causes them to drop applicants into security screening.Hi, thanks for the quick response.
I am based in UAE for 10+ years, travel history includes USA (on visit visa, twice), UK (on visit visa, twice), Turkey (on visit visa, once), KSA (on Umra visa, twice), Oman (on visit visa, three times). Dont know if this is considered a lot or not. All travel on valid visit visas and no over stay at all.
PCCs are from Lahore (Pak) and UAE.
One more question. Our medical (myself and family) was done on 8th July 2017 and i have heard that the results are valid for a period of 1 year. Are we required to conduct the medical exam upon expiry directly or should we wait for the authorities to instruct us to do the same.

We went back and ask them to write our passport numbers on it & sytamp it again. Then translated it with both, iqama and passport numbers showing. The new PCC Format is totally digitized and they are not ready to make any amendments to it. So if they don’t acquiesce to your request, don’t stress too much about it. Theres also no period of stay dates either - which was another cause of concern for us. Have already requested for GCMS notes to put our minds to ease, but I am over 60 days post AOR so we should be good I guess. Thanks for the reply.
Can you please also clarify about Saudi PCC, did you submit upfront or after receiving the letter from IRCC? On their website it's mentioned that we have to wait for their letter to submit Saudi PCC but in my case I got the letter from Pakistan Embassy to issue the PCC. On my PCC the purpose of request is mentioned as Police clearance [Passport#] but for my wife it's simply immigration. There is no mention of her passport number anywhere. Will this work? Also, the PCC itself is black and white print with blue stamps, I'm worried as there have been instances in the past where the application was rejected only because the PCC was scanned as black & white. What I have seen in different forums is that IRCC is very strict about PCCs and any small mistake will result in rejection of the application so just have to be extra cautious.
Hello, I got a similar letter from my bank where the account maintenance certificate (signed and stamped) and six months stamped statement was issued by the bank but the wordings about 'account is free of any debt' are not mentioned since this is not part of bank's standard format.Thnx I will insist on that now.....although i dont know many on the inside but i will try to get something done.
Exchange rate is locked at the date of AOR.Hi guys,
I have a quick question. At the time of e-APR we were required to show 15531 CAD as POF. But we mentioned in our application that we will bring 16500 CAD and our account showed more than 16500 CAD at that time. At that time 1 CAD was 84 rupees in exchange rate. But now the value of CAD has jumped to 93 rupees. I want to ask 'Will CIC check my POF according to current value of CAD or as its value was there at the time of e-APR?'
Kindly guide. Thank you in advance.
