As i understand; you ll be going for studies and then having plans to be an immigrant. In this case; you need to complete formalities of your university. Once you have canadian degree in hand; u dont need any further educational docs attestations from Pak.
However it will be good; if you get copies of your docs verified / attested by the issuing authority (university / controller of examination)

I have already done the attestation from HEC Karachi and the sealed envelope is on its way to WES through DHL and expected to reach there on Monday, 3 Nov 2014. I am confused about one thing though. When I logged on to HEC website (das.hec.gov.pk), the statuses of all the education credentials from Matric till Masters are showing as “LOCKED - APPLIED FOR ATTESTATION” (MyProfile>>Education) whereas when I clicked the link on the main page of the same website “Please Select the Documents you wish to Attest from HEC” it shows Original Degrees from Bachelors onwards as “ ATTESTED” written in Green Color.

Is it ok? Cos I ve been reading on this forum that WES will verify the status online on HEC website. Kindly evaluate the above scenario and let me know if I need go HEC to get the status corrected or is it ok.

CNIC issue

I want to send my documents to HEC for attestation
but my CNIC has got expired and I have already applied for a renewal


Currently, I have my expired CNIC, and a receipt for CNIC renewal.

Can I start my process with HEC now in this situation??

as I am in kuwait and Embassy said that it will take around 2 months for renewal.

With your Old CNIC, attach the proof that Embassy will issue CNIC in 2 months. That will work

I have a question regarding Sealed Copies of Certificates. Degrees.

I will be completing my masters from Canada soon IA. I am still available in Pakistan for a month. Is there any attested documents that I should accompany with me that may be needed in future? Should I get HEC attested copies of my bachelor degree and Inter/ Matric certificates from Board office?

the final Transcript is enough??

Degree is required for ECA and FSWP.

I have done my attestation from HEC Islamabad in June as HEC karachi was not offering at that time.... Regarding Karachi University, I have done it in one day compared to regular 15 days process through "wasta"

Just visit KU (left entry from the main gate where all the bank branches are); and while submitting to the person who is receiving the certificate and mark sheet, tell him that you need it urgently for WES.. He will ask you to give the copy the bank receipt and will give you his number.

He will call you to come in the evening on the same day or next day with attested copy... Give me 500 to 500 Rs. (the official bank charges are 300 Rs. which you need to submit seperately)

Is it required to get photocopies attested from the university.

Or just HEC attestation?

For ECA HEC attested documents are required in sealed envelop whereas HEC may ask you to get you copies/degree attested verified by university first.
