Under proposed legislation, CIC will close the files of FSW applicants who applied before February 27, 2008, and for whom an immigration officer has not made a decision based on selection criteria by March 29, 2012. This is expected to affect around 280,000 applicants, including their dependants. CIC will begin the process of returning the full amount of fees paid to the Department by these affected FSW applicants. For those who have passed the selection criteria stage – approximately 20,000 people – CIC will continue processing their applications until they are approved for entry into Canada or not.

That's really a sad news for those who've been waiting for years. Some were waiting since 2004.

@ 229334

Dear the day i joined this forum......I didn't know what was happening before......I tried to search, but it was hell of a job....Many times many things are repeated....as things started happening in LVO, there is a mushroom growth of new members, so what Hinajamal did was right....

As far as her advices are concerned...no one in this forum is a VO/IO, we all share are thoughts, If you disagree with someone, it doesn't mean u r right or other is wrong.....

Geo aur jinay do policy is the best......

@hinajamal......
wasn't expecting you engaging yourself, in un necessary debats....

Ignoring criticism, focusing and helping others again n again is best policy...

I have never seen Americans fighting with Americans, Britishers with same clan, Chineese with fellow men & rule goes on ........

Anyway, its not wrong to point out that news is old or dead. Here we come to reduce our tension of being waiting for VO response and to get some guidance to move on!

Many more bad news are on their way after Feb 2008 long-waiting-applicants. I suggest that they should take their case to Federal Court of Canada for justice.

Seniors,

I am new to this thread, I need your advice please reply.

I applied as FSW under NOC 4131 on 04/04/2010 and got in-process status on 08/03/2011 with RBVO. On 17/04/2012 my e-status changed to DM and on 19/04/2012 I received refusal e-mail from VO stating that I was able to secure only 64 instead 67 points. I got 17 out of 21 points for experience under NOC 4131 and 20 out of 25 for 4 years Engineering degree. I am a professional engineer with total 9 years' experience from which 4 years in HSE trainings (4131).

Please guide me what's the criteria for calculating the experience point.
How do I ask visa officer to reconsider my points if there is some error in his calculation.

Please reply to my questions if anyone had such experience. Is there any chance to get my case reconsider by VO and how do I proceed for reconsideration appeal?

Regards,
Saad0411
