You are over optimistic, dear.
And do not realize that it will take months. Please, understand that they added much more pain to already huge backlogs, while being on strike for 6 month.

Enjoy your waiting

Sir

They are talking about 525,000/- applications , that includes all categories. While Federal Govt has committed new stream in 2015 on Australian Patterns.

They need to finish this FSW backlog by Dec 2014.

Kind Regards

These statements are facts that can be validated. But then the real question now is this... Is any of the Citizens and Immigrations top offcicers listening? I really do not know the answer to that questions... So the best, we can do now is wait and hope all goes well. After that, once we get to Canada, we can "light the Candle" (Make a positive difference). This is exactly what I plan to do.. And I am sure some of us will also want to so same - "MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE"
Yeah, I agree with you, but what would you prefer "to light the candle and make positive difference" sooner or later?
Who benefits from current situation when immigration process takes years?

Immigrants? No. They are wasting their most productive years in this process. And these precious years will never come back. Years that they and their families could use better for building their new life in Canada and integrating in canadian society and workforce.

Canadian economy and society? No. They need skilled workers, investors, entrepreneurs to "make difference" and contribute now. Not several years after. Not when those skills which were in demand at time when immigration started, probably not needed anymore at the time when immigrant was granted a visa.

This situation with very long processing time did not started yesterday. It lasts for many many years already. What have been done to address this problem?

They threw away 300 000 applications and stopped whole immigration program for 1 year. What kind of solution is that?!
It sends very clear signal that interests and workload of bureaucrats who are administrating immigration program are more important that immigration program itself and it can be sacrificed completely to cover their lousy work.

When I was saying that PAFSO is a small group of self-serving bureaucrats, I meant it.
They always have been part of the problem, never part of solution.
Starting the strike, they knew upfront very well what a huge damage they are going to make to their country, their economy, their society and hundreds of thousands of affected innocent people in Canada and around the world, who had nothing to do with their fight.

Knowing this,it did not stopped them. All they cared was money and their sick understanding of "fairness" or simply their envy of other bureaucrats making better living then they do, while most of Canadians could not even dream of their salaries and benefits.

Canada in many ways is a great country, but they have worst visa processing system and most ineffective visa officers in the world.

Dear,

The bottleneck in the system and the source of all problems with backlogs is not an existing immigration program or because it is bad.
And no new streams, new programs or new fancy patterns or new government commitments will change that.
They can come up with new better programs or throw away recieved application every single year, nothing will change.

The problem is in local visa offices. That is where it takes years to process applications.
Their ineffective work sabotages whole immigration program and undermines its benefits for canadian economy. And Canada is losing billions every year because of this ineffectiveness.

That is exactly the situation when tail wagging the dog.
And I don't see that anything has been done to change that and to address this problem.

Sir Msaeed,

Thanx

msaeed, I don't see your point of quoting this meaningless letter from VO, which basically says nothing more that since they have sent you AOR one year ago your application is still in a queue for reviewing.

Please, elaborate.

Idima,

While most of our vision is limited to our own application, you are seeing it from a wider perspective and I believe that your views should be heard. If you could post your views on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pafso.apase maybe they understand that not all can be bull$hitt€d. And yes, your post may be deleted but I am hoping that they get the point.

Sinestra, unfortunately, they do censor comments which do not support their agenda and even completely block some users for posting there.

you're absolutely right idima! they only accept comments that don't attack them directly, maybe they wanna hear things that they want but if it's againsts them they will delete your comment and restrict you on their page. i know because it happened to me.

What about twitter?

https://twitter.com/PafsoApase

Right Idima..

This is a large community talking amongst ourselves, what I was hinting at is to let PAFSO folks know what we (most importantly you) think.

Anyway I am not so sure if that will have the intended impact as the damage is already done. Let's hope next year is different and our applications are processed before that.

FRIENDS,
