Hi everyone,
I have a question. I just talked to an agent from ırcc. I got information about my pr application. Also for my partner. He recently sent to them form for me to get information about his case. Representative.

Agent said that for you it’s 25 months now. For your dependent it’s 53 months! I am like what!!! I said he is with me in Canada and we’ve applied for pr together. We both got pre arrival letters. He insisted. He said that no for dependents it’s 53 months:) I said I knew that it’s for who is outside Canada. I mean the dependents outside of Canada. He said no. I didn’t insist that much.

My question is dependant in Canada, not refugee, applied pr together will get pr at the same time or after me? Which is 53 months?
Thank you.

Let me share my timeline as a dependent of protected person living overseas.
My parents have received their PR and are in Canada while I reside in Nepal
Case is being handled in Mississuaga,ON
My timeline is:
●Document received - Feb 11 2022
●Medical request - May 21 2024
●Police certificate request- May 23 2024
(Haven't received medical passed letter but after calling ircc they informed that I have passed. Also my medical request and police certificate request were from IRCC New Delhi, India)
● Was asked to submit additional documents from Mississuaga,ON i.e Supplementary information and Generic information - 3 July and 4 July 2024
● Eligibility passed letter and Pre arrival letter - 4 July 2024
After contacting IRCC they have informed me that the respective officer has received my all documents and my application is still in process. I don't need to give biometric so my application is in BACKGROUND/SECURITY CHECK.
Till date I have waited for 32months and I can't track or link my application either.
So anyone with same timeline or who's application is in mississauga please share your timeline.

Dear Forum,
I am a protected person in Canada. My spouse, my daughter, and I are currently in Canada, but my son, who is under 21 years old, is still in our home country. We applied for permanent residency together as a family, and recently, the three of us in Canada received our eCOPR from IRCC. We also received a pre-arrival letter for my son, and IRCC has informed us that the next steps in his application will be processed through the Canadian embassy in our home country.
My question is: regarding my son’s application, do we need to take any further steps, or will the embassy contact us? Also, could anyone share their experiences with similar cases, especially regarding how long the processing might take?
I would appreciate any insights. Thank you!

Congratulations! I want to ask you a question if you don’t mind. You said that you and your family member in Canada applied for pr together and get eCORP at the same time. I have my partner in Canada who is not refugee but we’ve applied together for pr. We both received pre arrival letters, passed eligibility, criminal, medical.
From beginning I knew that we were going to get pr at the same time. Last time agent told me it’s 53 months for dependents. I was shocked!
Do you think it’s true? I still insist that we will get pr together at the same time.
Thank you and good luck for your son.
