Outland USA question

Does anyone know what kind of acknowledgement you receive if any when your outland spouse app is delivered via fedex to Mississauga (2 Robert Speck)? Obviously we track the package online from fedex website but wondering if we get an email saying application received or do we eventually get something saying AOR (whatever that is ) and what the approximate timelines for any and/or all of the above are. Thanks.

I got an official looking e-mail (AOR) about 2-3 weeks after I mailed it that looked something like this:

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2013/01/16 on behalf of the following member(s):

Jane Doe

blah, blah, blah...

You will eventually get an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt) when the visa officer starts working on your package and determining if you are eligible to sponsor. Do you know when your package arrived? Their website is saying ~34 days from then. You will get your AOR in email form (the sponsor) if you put an email in your forms. If not, they will send a letter to the sponsors address.

Although, I have heard that some people don't get an AOR at all, and just get their Sponsorship Approval (SA) letter, or email. Typically that can be the same day you get your AOR, or a weekish later.

Zarilenth, the package arrived this morning 10:43 est. So I guess you are saying other than FEDEX Tracking, our first response from Mississauga will be our AOR? That's cool. I just thought there might be something saying it has been received as in physically in the building. Thank you so much for your reply..We really appreciate it.
