Outland spousal sponsored visa applicant photo requirement

hello: I've been trying to find out the photo requirement for my husbands PR visa application. He is Mexican, we both live in Mexico.

I was told in a document checklist by a so called expert immigration lawyer that I am in the process of firing that I just needed 2 passport style photos which we have. But I'm thinking more photos are needed and that maybe a date photo was taken be written on the back of each photo. Couldn't find any info on this in CIC site but could have missed it.

You need the country specific guide for Mexico which is here

See item 16 - it specifies you need 8 photos. Also look at Appendix B for photo specifications.
