Hi, my app should go to Vienna too. However I'm still waiting for my SA. I got my AOR last week. App was received on September 25.

We already got SA on Nov 12th,and it was transfered the same day to Vienna,they said in the letter. So now waiting a response from Vienna office, hope it would be over soon . I heard from couples who already went thru this process, that when it comes to Vienna everything going really fast

hi what do you guys mean by AOR?
Are you applying inland or outland? I know that both go to Vegreville for the first stage, then if the application is outland it goes to Vienna. so what I am asking is does anyone know how long each process takes? I am canadian and want to sponsor my husband who is Croatia.

I am a canadian citizen, my husband is Croatian, we are now in canada i am working and he is here on a tourist visa which expires next month but we did send an extension for this.
Now the question is we are going to apply for spousal sponsorship and I dont know if we should do inland or outland?

We want him to stay in canada during the application process. Can I still apply outland? If we go outland will he need to leave canada?
What about medical when applying outland?

I know inland takes longer but is it maybe the safer way to go?

86 days, after we send the new updated form it took 45 days to get SA . The officer in the immigration office already on the first meeting with my husband said it can took from 5 weeks to 3 months for the 1th stage to be done.

My app is outland. I'm in Bosnia right now and he is in Canada,separated almost 6 months and it is really hard . If you apply inland and if they reject your app ( it could happen sometimes ) the you dont have right to appeal . But if you go outland the process is faster,you have right of appeal ( if you have reason,hope there wouldn't be ) and your husband can stay with you on his extended visa . But it is the best way to schedule an appointment in the immigration office and they will explain you everything you wanna know about whole process and gathering documents . ok thank you, its hard to schedule and appt. they say you can find everything online , but online is so confusing...i'm canadian and i find it hard to understand.

ok thank you, its hard to schedule and appt. they say you can find everything online , but online is so confusing...i'm canadian and i find it hard to understand.

How is your process going?

Many couples applied outland bcz it is faster even if they are living together in Canada. My husband is in Winnipeg,and the officer who spoke with him was really nice, explained to him everything,which forms we have to download and fill out,on 2nd appointment they checked togehter every form and the documents we gathered.

Now we are waiting for 3 months and we spoke to so many people who were sponsored and the sponsor,and they said that when comes to Vienna everything going quickly,maybe 30 days for whole 2nd stage and getting stamped passport . It is a comfort when you heard something like that but deep in yourself just praying to God please give me to be one of the lucky ones

Hi all. I have finally received SA yesterday after waiting for a week after getting AOR. My wife currently lives in Germany, however they have decided to send our application to Ottawa instead of Vienna, although we have specified Vienna as our VO as it's the closest to her. Have anyone experienced the same? I wonder why they would send it to Ottawa instead. Does it mean she will have to send her passport to Ottawa to get her visa when everything is ready? :
I guess at this point I should join Ottawa thread.

First they give you PR approval.and request you to send your passport,put visa there and you then we all can sing I belive I can fly LOL . I heard so many stories so I dont know what to believe. Average processing time is up to 17 months,it is writing on CIC website,but I think everything really depends on the officer who works on our apps.
