we just got a request for interview it said we had to wait up to 24 months when we receive the letter. we were sent back our evidence and email feb 26 2014. i hope its not going to be 2 year wait for an interview. anyone here have a timeframe on when they receive the letter to interview

I had to wait 2 years before interviews. Others had it sooner. Perhaps send new evidence whenever you go back to Vietnam through that link I posted earlier. Some people do get interview sooner as well, so I am not sure. Make sure to order your notes now to see what the red flags are and prepare to answer them in the interview.

I'm kind of surprised you got an interview, considering you say you've visited your husband 8 times, spent 3 months each time, and have been in a long term relationship. Have you ordered GCMS notes to see what kind of red flags you have? I didn't like how your lawyer said you guys have a very high chance interview waived, but then it is not.

I'm kind of disheartened seeing so many people on this thread getting interviews, I really hope my wife and I don't get one, even though I feel we have a pretty good application with minimal red flags.

I'm surprise to and so is my lawyer. I really hope you and you wife don't have an interview. I waited 16 month for them to review our application and now we have to wait up to 24 month.

I think you should definitely order those GCMS notes and maybe share them with us, and give us an idea of what's going on. Because based on your background, I don't think you should've got an interview.

I'm gonna get the notes and I will share with you guys. It's just so frustrating.

If you have a repasentitive they might have email to them. Or just email to high commission and ask.

they say not to email them .... :'( ....I don't want to make them mad.

I email them 2 3 times this year already. In the email they send me back says they will reply in 5 days. They will not get mad.

Waiting for the one that you love and living in fear that an interview might come our way. *Sigh* can even get a good sleep

I have been waiting 3 years and counting. I know how you feel. We are all on the same boat

I would definitely recommend people to order GCMS notes. Ordering GCMS notes and knowing what comments are in your file really takes a load off your mind. I ordered GCMS a total of 3 times throughout the application process. The last GCMS notes that I received really helped me be confident that my wife's application was solid and that there would be no interview. The V.O. commented that he/she was satisfied with our application and believed our relationship was genuine based upon all the evidence that was included.
Order GCMS notes throughout the application process for peace of mind. Good luck everyone, stay strong.

I have a question. That waiting time 24 months counts from when?

The horrible thing is that, during the 24 months you're waiting for interview, that waiting time DOES NOT count towards the 30 month processing time, so an applicant could potentially wait 3-4 years to get the visa, from the time they first mailed the application to Mississauga. This is why it is extremely important to avoid the interview in the first place.
