I got it now I had to email them back. My wife redone her medical 40 days ago that is how long it took until passport request finally my our journey has almost come to an end. It has been over 3 years for us waiting. How long more of an wait now until she gets visa? thanks for the quick reply

Congrats! Can I ask why it's taken so long? Did your wife have an interview? 250 are you from Vancouver island or interior bc?

Hey make sure u order GCMS notes now before sending it in cuz Spacely84 sent his passport and appendix a in also, but for some reason he had an interview request.

Hey,few days ago after 4 weeks of re-med, I email them again and 2 hour later, they sent us a passport request....they must like me best....

Yes, at first they sent back the request form with the wrong name but later sent back the amended one...

all of my wife's documents only has the red seal stamp "PHONG TU PHAP". are these docs certified or do i need the ones with the red seal stamp and a little message on top, "...BAN CHINH" also in red?

for me, do i have to certify the copy of my passport?

QPH when did your wife send the passport? Looks like 2 week turnaround based on thanh's timeline.

May 21st, they said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. We are not in the rush, planning to fly in Sept, much cheaper, but it will depend on the situation in vn with China...we might have to fly earlier....

Ban Chinh is the stamp that says its a certified photocopy. Phong Tu Phap is the official stamp of the place that's doing the notarization/certification, I believe.

Yes, try get everything certified/notarized, the passport does not have to be translated because it should already have English words included, double check her passport to be sure.

I would like to know is it recommend to type up the forms on PDF or handwritten? When I tired to fill up Forms IMM5490E and IMM5540E there is not enough space.. If someone can give me any tips that would be great!

You should type them, the text is more clearer and when you use the PDF forms, they automatically let you know if you're missing fields when you try to validate. If you don't have enough space, use a separate sheet of paper with your name, the name of the form, the question # and the question itself.
