Congrats to you mrwhat2do.

I wanted to know when did you first submitted your paperwork to Singapore and how long before your status changed?

Yup under my ecas it says medical results received. This is what it looks like when I click the "In process" link:
We received "Wifes name" application for permanent residence on December 9, 2010.

We started processing "Wifes name" application on May 26, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

My wife went to the IOM to drop off the her passport. Cost 35 dollars for the fee and she needed 4 visa size pictures and her IOM medical card she recieved after her exam. They said it she would receive a phone call in about a month to either 1-pick up her visa 2- require an interview 3-reject coming to canada. So I am hoping #1.

Congrats Bold9900. Next step is your wife to do a re-med. Most people who live in HCM City do their re-meds through IOM even though there are other designated medical practioners listed on the re-med instructions page. Passport submission will follow suite 2 weeks after that. There were cases where people were specifically asked to submit passports at the same time with the re-meds though. Just ask your wife to follow the instructions in her package. On average, it would take 6-12 weekes to get the visa along with the COPR after passport was forwarded to Singapore VO. It took my wife approx 4 weeks to get her visa after she dropped off her passport at the IOM in HCM City in June 2012.

Thank you Stevent!

Yes. My wife is instructed from Singapore VO to her re-med and submitting her passport to IOM (District 1). I hope we don’t have to wait too long to have the passport/visa and COPR back from Singapore.

Congratulations on the good news of the approval of your wife's application! Your case seems moving very fast after Sept 19 when your ECAS status changed to In Process. I am very happy for you as your application is going to complete soon; and wish the same for my wife's application. Her file was transferred to Singapore just one day after your wife's file.

Stevent: That's nice of you to come back with us and share your experiences with Bold9900. I bet you are very happy and enjoying marriage life with your wife in Canada now.

Did any of you request a GCMS note?

Hello Hope2012,

I am very sure your file will be next in line. What is your ECAS status? It seem all the files from our timeline are start moving...just a matter of days everyone will get their good news.

No. I didn't request any GCMS note, more less you can find out from your MP. Are you in Toronto?

Thanks Bold9900. No, I am in Vancouver.

My ECAS status is still "Application Received". It has been like that since day one.

I asked my MP office to check our application status. They said that our case will be processed in November. And that's what I saw in the GCMS note also.

I am trying to figure out what has happened to our case by reading the note and trying to create a map of [date and time-event or action - agent]. If everybody can do the same then we know where the bottle neck is or which agent holds our file longest.

CTC027 file was bumped into In Progress like yours. Not sure if they have received a passport request yet. Keep us informed on your application progress.

Does anyone have any idea when interviews will take place in Vietnam. I receive my wife's first letter stating that she will go to interview on nov 4 2011. It is now nov 10 2012. So far no indication of interview date time and place. Total 18 months since Singapore received my wife's application. On the Canada immigrations website the average processing time has steadily gone up from 18 months from the time I applied to 23 months 18 months later. So far it has 20 months since I sent the applications to Mississauga. wow!

Hi Canadianfirst,

I noticed there are few people on the "singapore time" thread getting the interview scheduled in beginning of this December. I sugeest you ask you local MP see the can give up some update of your file.
