That's awesome. I wish I could spend May-Sep in Canada and Oct-Apr in Vietnam. That would be heaven... ;D

When my wife dropped off her passport at IOM-Ho Chi Minh City office, Ms. Uyen personally told my wife that she would inform my wife to come back and pick up the returned passport with visa stamp and COPR. This practice is consistent with most of the cases whose passports were submitted through IOM-Ho Chi Minh City office.

what was her turn around time from when she submited and to when she got it back?

My wife dropped off her passport on June 7th and we saw status change from "medical results received" to "a decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision" on June 18th. So, it only took 8 working days. Statiscally based on other posts in this thread, the returned passport and COPR stuff should arrive at IOM-Ho Chi Minh City office one week after status change to "decision made". But who knows? It is hard to predict anything from Singapore VO... ??? ;D
Cheers!

Hi buzzsaw,
First off, congratulations! Booking the airplane ticket is next :)...

Correct me if I'm wrong. It was approx 10 days from the time you saw your ECAS update to "Decision Made" to the time your wife got a phone call from IOM to pick up the returned passport with visa stamp and COPR?
Thanks.

how did your wife now have an interview??

Hi tuoicao,
I suppose you wanted to ask if my wife had an interview? The answer is no :). We were fortunate because the interview was waived and my wife is waiting for her passport with visa stamp and COPR papers.
Take care.

Since it has been over a year that i have not seen my wife because this process takes for ever. I will have to go to Vietnam for a 3rd time. I was hoping to get my wife on a visitors visa to Canada but too complicated because of her son. So Saigon here I come. Since my wife is going to interview I think it will look much better if I make a more recent visit.

Hey Canadianfirst,
A more recent visit before the interview is an excellent idea. When are you going to VN?
I'll be in VN from August 11 to August 23 to pick up my wife :)
All the best!
