Was your application in Buffalo?
I don't know it might be something good to speed up the process.

They mentioned that CPP-O will issue the visitor visa, so i think they will also be able to issue the immigration visa. shaikhaffi said:Yeah i hope so, there are two offices in Ottawa, one is located at 219 laurier ave west, which process PR files and the other mentioned in URL is located at 365 laurier ave which processes temporary visa applications. However i am still not 100% sure if they do stamping or issue visa my gut feelings is when case comes to final review they transfer electronically to other north-american visa office for stamping.
Not all files were transfered to Ottawa-CPP from buffalo as the URL says to "other north-american VO" so i hope it will not be slow.
