I got a response on the 5th of Nov, 5 days after raising a webform. Maybe you should try calling it is more effective

The information from the Nov 5th email is all I know so far. It stated that Eligibility was met, Criminality was Valid and Security not initiated. I pray it has progressed beyond that now.

Ya.. your timeline looks super duper frustrating. When was the last time you called them? Did you receive any ghost updates when eligibility and security were passed?

On some thread here on CANADAVISA someone posted a link to a Twitter post showing that VO Ottawa supposes open on 7th Nov. I don't remember the Twitter handler.

I guess it's uncommon to not have background verifications started so late into the process, but things are pretty erratic nowadays. The good thing is at least your eligibility is met which is the toughest nut. The rest will just happen when things start moving hopefully, alongwith the rest of the applications stuck at the VO.
