Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know how do you know that your application is being processed at Ottawa. I have read all the applicants residing in USA gets their applications processed at Ottawa office. So I am going by what I have read .Is it true?
My timeline is in my signature below.

You can confirm it by emailing IRCC to ask for your Visa Office, or by ordering GCMS notes, which will mention the primary VO.

I emailed the CPC-CTD-Ottawa and got a automated reply:

o Citizenship <applications http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/index.asp >;

And I don't really want to order the notes . I mean I am not really worried YET. I am mainly confused about the difference between the LVO and Processing centre. What happens where?
So what i have read so far about USA residents cases are processed at Ottawa centre does that mean the LVO and processing centre will be the same?

It's been less than a month since your AOR. What you received is just the acknowledgement of receipt (of the email you sent them.) Don't worry, you'll hear from them soon enough. Fyi, Ottava = CPC (Case Processing Centre.)

Thanks for the reply !! Like I said I am not worried yet. I know there are people on this forum who have been stuck at one stage or the other for months and I don't want to be that annoying person who starts to freak out within a month :P
Just another question after IP2 the file goes to the CPC or LVO?

The file goes to LVO, CPC Ottawa is one of them. There have been some speculations here implying that they may be changing their wordings to avoid applicants finding out the exact step, but we don't know for sure. According to the basic system we know about background checks (NA, IP1, NA, IP2, PPR) your file must be at the LVO, most likely Ottawa.
Again, the only way to find out where the file is is to order GCMS notes, but it's way too early. Plus, moving to IP2 within a month is a pretty good sign imo, fingers crossed you get your PPR soon ;)
P.S. I'm one of those people who are "stuck" and no, you are not annoying!!! This forum keeps us sane while waiting :D

Aor 16th dec
Mep 28th dec
Ip1 28th dec
Na2 4th Jan
Ip2 27th Feb
Adr - none (we do not need additional docs)
Ppr - waiting

Considering ordering notes

GCMS notes would show you whats been happening to your file. It could also trigger other activities in your app including PPR.
Best of lucks buddy.

How can that be a bad sign in any point of view ?? :D

Please can someone advise, at what stage exactly are applications transferred to Case processing Centres? My application has been stuck in IP1 since March 9 (AOR is March 2 and MED is March 9). After contacting CIC to know the Visa office processing my application, I was informed on March 23 that it has been transferred to CPC Ottawa, still no update since then.
What stage can that be?

Has anyone with an AOR date of Feb 20th received the PPR email? My last update was March 7th, when my application moved to IP2. I contacted CIC last week and got a vague response, starting off with: "I am pleased to inform you that everything appears to be in order with your application. Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed". This vague message has left me trying to decipher every sentence. :( What does it really mean??? Is it a good sign or a bad one or nothing really because the process hasn't really begun? I've no clue. I had also asked what stage it was in, but that was not answered. I keep checking my email, but nothing. :(
My timeline is below:
AOR 2/20/18
IP1 3/1/2018
IP2 3/7/2018
waiting for the golden email...
