Imagine people like me who are yet to receive a documents update letter, not to talk of processing our file in any way, cause they surely cannot process anything when they don't even have a single paper of ours (LOL).

I know, that's what I keep telling her, that ours is a matter of weeks (or so I was hoping 2 weeks ago), and "imagine the others etc etc"... Don't want to rub it in or make it any more painful for you than it already is, but I really want you to know that everyone's with you guys! That's just the way it is and there's nothing you can do about it, so find a bright side to the situation and make the most of it! We haven't lost our homes and families in a tsunami, we've got good jobs, we live in a relatively good place for the moment... Hey it could be a lot worse right? OK, it's just gonna get A LOT better when we get there... But que sera sera right?

Oh and when we do get there, we'll get the right to vote and put decent people in charge of immigration for our future fellas! ;D ;D ;D

The right to vote will take about 3 years though, after you have landed. I guess you need the citizenship for that. I am sure by then I would have gotten on with my life here in the UK. (LOL)
Agree with you without any doubts. Yeah, my heart goes out to all the victims and their families, of all (Natural) disasters.
God Bless.

Hey M+JM, that's the only thing with PRs that we won't get the right to vote until we get CAD passport. I hope she gets well soon. The way things are, I want to assure you that it's sooner then later, definitely matter of weeks. When I get my visas sorted, I'll try and bombard minister with emails to sort you guys out quickly :(

Really hope for you guys to be sorted soon and my thoughts with your fiancee.

Hi ahmadtajwer,

Just a question. When did they recalculate your points from 72 to 67, before medicals or after?

It should be before medicals, but I just want to make sure. It would be a shame if they decide to recalculate someone's points after medicals and then find them below 67 and decide to refuse the application :o Wouldn't that be something!

Thanks.

Unfortunately there was no date mentioned of recalculation, so not very sure of when was it done but it is right at the bottom, so if I follow pages sequence, it came after medicals page ???

It normally happens before medicals but i can't work it out when did that happen in my case due to no dates mentioned.

Yes I know right to vote only comes after 3 years with citizenship...just planning ahead that's all! First 2 priorities: better (meaning faster) immigration laws, and putting an end to the seal cull 8)
Thanks guys, I've passed all your best wishes to M, she's feeling a little better now! Hope final cure arrives soon :) for all of us!

J-M (ok so by now you've all figured out where our ID on this forum comes from ;D)

Guys guess who's back?

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/thank-you-t66927.0.html

So Nectar is back, edupolo, you were losing hope there, your light is back mate.

Wishing luck to everyone.

I am glad to hear Nectar is back. I am sure that someone may have said something wrong to him, but hopefully all the good messages compensated the bad thoughts of others.
As for me, if you arrange trackitt by medicals done, you will realise that I am one of the few being left behind little by little. Is there a saying that 'good things come to those who wait???'

Edupolo.. its a fact and universal truth.."Good and the Best things come to those who wait " . Patience pays for sure !!
You will be winner very soon and then u will realise how beautiful the world is for YOU :)

Guys, I just got the PPR ;D

I hope everyone here hears the good news soon

Wow ahaboubi !! Congrats and Best Wishes !

Rain brings hope... and JM, there's light at the end of every tunnel.. so keep ur chin up :) Remember that we are all there with u

Thanks guys. I really feel great at the moment. Can't wait to send the passports!

I'm sure more PPRs are on the way from Ottawa. Keep the faith ;)

WOW that's great! After 13 days of silence looks like CPPO are back on our files... Hope there's more and we don't have to wait 2 weeks between 2 series of PPRs ;D

Congratulations to all lucky forum members- Ahmadtajwer, Deeaar, Machaja, Secret, Pattelppuk, Ahaboubi!
It is very good news, that our fellow Ottawa applicants are getting PPRs one by one, may God help all of us.
I just used my small 3 weeks vacation to take my younger doughter( she is 13 years old) to our country of origin and I got
her foreign passport.
This passport copy is only one document, that we didn t send to Ottawa together with all other documents, but we did send explanation letter to CPPO, that by goverment law in our country of origin, due to her age, she has only ID, (that copy of ID we had send) and later we will arrange foreign passport of her own.
My question is -should I send immediately now fotocopy of her foreign passport to Ottawa?
May be I should send e-mail to Ottawa?

Thanks Lina-Ida for the wishes.

Since they asked for the passports of all family members when submitting the documents, I think that you should send them your daughter's passport copy as an email attachment as soon as possible. You can also ask them in the email if you should mail them a hard copy, although an email attachment should be enough.

Good luck.
