Open Work Permit (for spouse)

Hello... just a question or two to clear up some confusion I have:

1. I am Canadian... how does my spouse (currently on TRV in PR process) apply for OWP? (I know I have to wait until I am approved as sponsor, but what application does he use?)

2. What are the 'qualifications' to be able to apply for OWP?

3. Where are these forms on the CIC website?

Assuming you applied inland, you should have submitted an OWP application along with your inland application. This would have given "implied" status as without the OWP app, no implied status exists. OWP would be given after stage 1 approval (11 months).

If you didn't submit OWP with PR app, then you need to wait until stage 1 approval, and submit the OWP app right after. The only requirement is that you have stage 1 approval.

and if you applied outland, the applicant is not eligible to apply for an OWP.

We applied inland.

And I realise we should have sent it in with our application - however, at the time, we did not know that he could do this.

Anyway, where do I find the forms for OWP? On CIC I can only find forms for a 'regular' work permit for which my husband wouldn't qualify.

What OWP do people use when then send it in with their PR application?
