Regarding the medical exams, I ve called one of the doctors listed and he told me that from January, they have received an email saying that we cannot make the med exams without bringing a special form IMM 1017 with a scan code. Therefore, we have to wait for ITA and all docs sent to us in order to make such exams. Could you please confirm this?

Hello redlar,

Well, it's true that they have received an email, but it's for sponsorship purpose... it is not related to us.

Tell the clinic that you are an Express Entry candidate, and that you have received ITA.
They will let you do the Medical Exams Upfront.

Bring your passport along with 2 photos with you. (For you and all dependents...)

It will be OK.

About the medical exam, this is not what CIC instructs: your doctor should have this form IMM 1017B in his/her office and she/he should provide you with the client copy once you completed your medical exam. The client copy is to be uploaded in your profile (eAPR) as evidence that you had your medical exam.

No it will not change anymore and you can write those numbers there. what will take another like week or 2 is the official certificate. you will need scan of that for Ontario. good luck there.

I just got a phone call from Ontario! The lady asked about my job, and sent me an email requestion updated paystubs and proof of job search. She said that after they reveived the documents, my file will go to the decision phase, it could take a month or so. Things are moving, hopefully for the best!

Once you submit the requested documents, I think it will take maximum 2 weeks for you to get Nomination... hopefully...
That was my case back in December...

But make sure you give exactly what they have asked... this will faster your Nomination... don't miss anything...

My file got returned back because I missed ECA Report from WES. Still waiting for the ECA more than one month.

OINP gave me 30 additional days to resubmit.

Do you know that after I resubmit, will AOR be in 2 days like some others who were in the same situation whose package has been returned and resubmitted? Or will it depend when the bank draft payment is cleared? I notice they wrote on my check. Also when I re-submit can I update the application form with a new date, etc...?

Hope I get ECA soon.

Hello Elrud,
So sorry that your app was returned. For me, I received AOR 3 days after my re-submitted docs reached OINP. I also got a receipt, which means that the bank draft was cashed. When I re-submitted my app, I did a fresh application with updated bank statements and additional pay stubs.

However, as you can see, receiving AOR quickly doesn't mean anything. I guess it's just sheer luck after that - whether they choose to issue the nomination quickly or take more than 1 year.

If you are re-submitting anyway, just check if you can do it online this time. In this case you will receive AOR as soon as you have made the payment. And who knows, while doing the go live testing of their system, they might pick up your app for immediate processing In this case, you will have to re-cash your bank draft and will lose on exhange rate. But I personally think that it's worth the loss as compared to indefinite wait.

I did not understand your case... Is it that you applied to OINP without sending your ECA Report???
If that is the case, you will have to ask WES to send your report to OINP as soon as possible.
Normally once your certificates are validated by WES, they send an ECA Report to CIC, and not province...
Go to their portal, request them to send the report to OINP. There is a payment to make.

Once you made the payment and OINP can get the processing fee, they will start working on your file.

No idea on how many days it could take, but do it quickly and carefully...

Make sure you don't miss anything this time...

Hardly. For listening, you have just a, b, c, choices that are then evaluated by computer. Would it be speaking or writing he would have chance.
Technicaly he can appeal, but with minimum success.
And BTW Ontario Human priorities will be reopening soon. So he just might qualify there with English.
