wow thanks a lot Damocles. great infos.

My little one has 3 years old. He also has to make the medical exams? could you please describe the medical exam?
Everybody has to have medical exama. But small children have it much easier. So you need to make appointment and then take your whole family to the doctor. He / she will choose the appropriate exams depending on the age of applicant. you and your spouse will be NON EDE workers and your children will be EDE family. All that for permanent immigration.

Congratulations redlar!!

=> Steps after OINP Nomination
---------------------------------

Now, the first thing to do is to accept the nomination in your profile. |Once you have done that, you will be allocated an additional 600 points to your CRS.
Next , wait for the next IRCC draw to receive an ITA. In the meantime start collecting documents such as a recent proof of funds, a recent employment letter , and book for the upfront medicals and get the Police clearance certificates(PCC) of all the countries you stayed in for more than 6 months cumulatively since you were 18 years old.

Once you get your ITA, You will have 90 days to submit your eAPR application on line. You will need the receipt for your medical to upload with the other supporting documents before you receive an AOR that your application is receive and the count down for remaining days before your ITA expires stops. if you are not ready yo can decline the ITA and wait for the next draw.

=> Money
-------

For your application, you will have to pay $550 CAD for you and every dependent who is older than 18 years and $150 CAD for the minors. If you choose to pay Right Of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) upfront , it is $490 CAD for every adult and $0 CAD for everybody under 18 years old.

As an example, for a family of 4 :

Fees
Application Quantity Price (CAD) per unit Total (CAD)
Permanent Resident Application Fee 1 $550 $550
Right Of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) 1 $490 $490
Permanent Resident Application Fee for Spouse 1 $550 $550
Right Of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) for Spouse 1 $490 $490
Permanent Resident Application Fee for Child 2 $150 $300

Total Price (CAD)$2380

N.B. The fees will depend on you application case specific (number of dependents and ages).

But you can choose to pay the RPRF at a later stage.

=> next steps
-------------

Once you have completed the application, submitted supporting documents and paid the fees, you will receive an AoR. Then the wait begins... ( :'( and the constant checking of your profile for an update if your are not very patient to wait for email notification). Note that not every update will be notified immediately to you by an immediate email. Please do not be very obsessed as you might get very anxious, worried or depressed. Follow the other's candidate updates on the appropriate thread and contribute if you can.

you will be interested in stages like :

- Medical Pass;,
- Background in Progress ( it will go through Not Needed and Not Started before this stage);
- RPRF ( if you did not pay it upfront);
- PPR ( Passport request);
- COPR( Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents) and visa stamping in Passport;
- Application Closed.

The time frame , for the whole process, is up to 6 months as stated by IRCC. But who knows, you might be one of the lucky ones that receive a PPR within the first 3 months!!

All the best!!
Hi Damocles,

Very good info here. You say in the quote above that "if you are not ready you can decline the ITA and wait for the next draw". My questioj is: If you decline, is there no risk of being removed from the nominations pool? Or there is an option for a postponed ITA acceptance.

Thanks

No. If you decline ITA, you are put back in the pool and no consequences with regard to your nomination. And since your nomination is valid for 6 months, with the 600 additional points during that period, you are guaranteed to receive other iTAs in the next draws. unless you decline for the 6 consecutive months after your nomination, then your 600 points are removed and you go back to square one!

Congrats Redlar !

As advised by Damocles, do get ready with the required docs and get started on the PCC (mine took more than 4 weeks !!!!), including medicals. Medical examination is v simple : urine test, weight, height check, reading test (to check accurate eye sight). My child is 6 years old. They hv not even looked at her vaccinations reccords, which I had carried with me. So good luck for your ITA !!!!

Congratzzz Redlar...

Gather ALL the documents again, as you need to upload it on MyCIC for eAPR...

Some advise:

- Merge your ECA report, TEF results, IELTS results in 1 single PDF doc
- Merge all your police certificates (If you have stayed in a country for more than 6 months) in 1 single PDF
- Once you complete your medical exams, you will receive an acknowledgement, you need to scan it and upload it afterwards

The same applies for your dependent...

If you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime...

Thks all for your info. This forum is really unique!!!
I have a last question regarding the final step: the residency card. I have seen that CIC estimates that it takes almost 50 days to get it lnce we request it upon arrival. I have also seen that its possible to get an authorization to leave the country during that process. In that case, do we have a deadline to come back? My wife and kid have to come with me in the first trip to ask for the card or could i ask for it on their behalf (they are part of my actual entry express process).
Thanks in advance for all your answers

As far as I know, the PR Card is issued once you are in Canada.
The process of PR Card may take between 25 days to 50 days. (According to info on the forum)
The best scenario is you reach Canada, you get your PR card, then you can leave at any time.

Check this link, it may help you:

You may also leave before you get the card, provided that you have someone at the address you gave ( a relative for example) who can send you the card wherever you are in the world. As a matter of facts, the card will be mailed at the address so anyone can receive it for you. You just have to make sure that it is sent to you before you re-enter Canada. Your wife and Kids do have to come with you on the fist trip but have to go in person after you have landed ( and maybe come back) before the expiry date mention by ( IRCC) on the COPR letter . You cannot activate their PR or apply for PR card on their behalf.

But if for any reason , after you have left and need to go back to Canada before you get your PR card, You have to apply for a travelling document at the Canadian Embassy in the country where you are as you cannot enter Canada , as a resident, without the PR card.

Guys ! i still haven't gotten WES and i want to apply for the french stream ! what are my deadlines ?
Until now, French stream is most stable one and still opened. Get your WES, then start EE account, put your French as first language and English as second language. Choose either all provinces or Ontario and then just relax and wait for PT Notification from Ontario. Then you can access their own portal and create account there. Online application is new, so try to follow the new guide which is on their page. But the needed documents are more or less the same.

Good luck.

I believe it is 45 days from the day you receive your PT NoI. If you haven't received it yet, then as vensak says, you can relax and wait for your WES ECA since there is not much you can do without it in terms of getting the PT NOI and the French stream is still open.
