Any of you has receive the letter of interest from Ontario last week? Will it be affected by the notification on 12 Jan 2017?
I do not think so. They never stated that the French stream would be closed. All they stated is that they used up 2016 quota and now they started to allocate 2017 quota. They have internaly quotas for each stream so you should not be worried.

Yes, I have done it 3rd of January. So far no change on the status what so ever. But all PNP have additional check with their province.

What do you mean by "all PNP have additional check with their province" ?

We have additional step there. If you are normal FSW or CEC they check your work experience, studies, age and languages. But as PNP you also get points from your province. So they also contact your province to give some data (what datas is not clear). So simply said that is additional step in their rechecking agenda. We can only hope. that Ontario will be cooperative (since Federal part is sitting in Ontario as well).

Ah ok, now I understand why they are taking lots of time... hopefully they can proceed rapidly...

I thought it should be faster since they have data already.

Vensak, what are the processing times average for OINP applicants compared to the 6 months federal?

6 months is their promissed time for 80% of applicants.
When I was checking trackers. it looks like it takes 1 to 2 more weeks for PNP to pass the central federal part (eligibility check and medical check). After that the application is taken by local VO. So from that on it really depends on how fast or slow their are in that Office.

thank so we can assume it is a matter of weeks more not months.

With the speed they are moving... We should take into consideration months... and not weeks... ;)

Once you get Nomination, Invitation to Apply... the only 2 additional stuffs to do is:
- Medical
- Police Check

Apart from that, eveything is similar to what we have sent to OINP...

So i suppose they should take less time... but that is not the case actually...

well let me worry about getting nomination first ... I am spending all my time thinking about this, fixated and cannot function properly. My job is suffering from my constant distraction. I think we will all go to Canada needing psychiatric consultations.

it takes us for sure less time to finish our application. It also gives us advantage to prepare all documents correctly (what worked for Ontario shall also work for the federal part).
So it gives us advantage of lower rejection rate because of the incomplete application.

Aal. Give them like a week to chew down your documents and then you can try to send mails about your application or even try to call them.

@Vensak,

Do you know if your doctor has already sent your medical reults to CIC? I receive my AOR on the 8th of january, but i know my doctor didn't upload my results yet to cic, so i don't expect any change on my status for now.

I'm quite nervous. I got 402 points with French as first language (I would have 412 if I choose English as first language). I've been waiting impatiently since last week as I see a lot of people receive the letter of interest within 2-3 days or even 24 hours.

Just short double check:
1. you put French as your first language (you have confirmed that) and every skill is at CBL 7 or higher
2. You put English as your second language (I assume you did) and every skill is at CBL 6 or higher
3. You have at least bachelor degree (3 years of post secondary studies)
4. You have 1 year of work experience in last 5 years in NOC type 0, A or B
5. You have identified Ontario as a province where you want to immigrate / or you have identified all provinces and territories.
6. Your EE is fully active and connected with your jobbank account
If you did all that but you still have not received Ontario PT NOI within 2 weeks (longest PT we had on forum was 10 days), you can still try to recreate your EE account (there is certain possibility for technical errors).
Worse case scenario would be, that Ontario has silently closed this stream (they did such thing in the past with main Human priorities stream and they only annouced it later on). But this is rather unprobable. French stream is really small one and with much lower demand.

How do I know if my EE is fully active? And I just wonder if anyone receives letter of interest from Ontario this month?

Your EE should be listed as active. At least one type of EE (CEC or FSW) should be listed as MET) and your jobbank should not be PENDING anymore. And you have also something like NO INVITATION this time.
