Hello,

Kindly I need your help.

I have received a notification of interest to apply for OINP.

While I was reading the required documents for employment it says
"3. You are currently working or have worked in an occupation that is regulated in Ontario and requires mandatory certification or licensing in Ontario. You must submit proof of Ontario certification and/or license."

I am working as an engineer for the last 6 years outside of Canada, and since Engineering is a regulated profession, does that mean that I cannot apply to OINP unless I get a license from Ontario?

You can write to them that it is not possible for you to get liscence without you present in ontario.
You can highlight to them that your experience is outside canada and you will apply for the liscence the first thing when you arrive in ontario before you can start your practice.

Hi Everyone,

I have a question for folks who already have their OINP approved. What all documents they require to prove your connection with Ontario. I have completed my studies in Ontario, working for a consultancy from ON but my project is in Alberta(currently living in Edmonton). Do they ask for bank statements or residence proof or anything. Please help.

p.s. EE score is 449.

Hi forum members !

Help needed.

I am filling my OINP form. My questions are

1) Do I self attest all the documents. Like each and every page of passport, etcs.
2) What is the best way of sending the documents across from India.
2.1) Should i courier to a friend in Ontario who can hand deliver or DHL Priority.

Thanks in Advance and Happy Diwali to all the forum members and their families.

Best,
Ekta Sapra

Hi ekta

you do not need to self attest any documents.

and you can directly courier using any service you feel comfortable with.

all the best for your application and happy diwali

you could also look up the forum "oopnp acknowledgement recd" you will be able to get a lot of help there regarding your queries!

Happy and safe diwali to you

I have created my Express Entry profile today.

I hope to receive Nomination from Ontario.

I have 441 points.

IELTS: 7.5 (S8, R7, L7, W7).

@goldencanada Just a hint of caution ! Don't forget to Tick the Checkbox where we opt for getting notified for PNP nominations from all provinces in your CIC profile.

Hope you get it soon buddy!

BTW, are you aware that if you take IELTS again and improve L from 7 to 8, you get extra points?

Good luck ahead.

Yes, very important to select "all provinces"

I selected "Ontario" when it listed choice of provinces. Where is the option to enable PNP notifications?

There is no such thing. There is only one option for all MyCIC notifications.

Hi friends,
I have made a gift deed affidavit for proof of funds. Can I send the notarized copy of the same for OINP application because I would need the original affidavit later for CIC application if I get ITA. Will the notarized copy do or will I have to send the original? Please reply those with similar experience, thanks.

Just the copies. The Application Guide clearly states that you need to send in only the copies of your civil documents, unless explicitly specified.

I believe he is referring to the place where you choose the provinces that you want to live in.

Why select only Ontario when you can select All Provinces?
