i dont think its a good idea to wait for the baby's medical and delay your own, i say go ahead and do yours, then you can do the baby's separately when u get the request (like so many have done on this forum)

delaying all the medical for everyone is definitely going to cause delays...

lawyers dont know everything all the time (its just a perception that they do)...

Good Thanks. Keep post each other. We are in the same timeline

CIC advised to do our medicals first? did you get the information from CIC directly? my Lawyer is holding my med request and saying we have to do the med with my son together. if what you saying is correct, I really want to spank the stupid lawyer.
i sent an email to cic that " we have only 60 days to complete our med & we have sent the info to add our son...we r waiting for our son's med req...since he is new born, we dont want to travel twice..blah..blah..."
we received a typical one line email from them saying "... complete your med as soon as possible..."
we scheduled for the last week of our 60 days time period and waited for our son's med req.
As I mentioned earlier, CIC worked super fast on this case and sent med req within the time limit..
so we ended up doing medicals all together..
but as you can see in this forum & advised by many...do your medicals first..
if you dont have to travel or have any other situation, then the decisionis yours..
but if you dont have any ting like that...pls dont wait

Hi All,
I applied for permanent residency in CIC buffalo under AINP program.
Last month my file has been transferred from CIC buffalo to CIC NY.At the time of
applying for permanent residency,my martial status was single and now it has been changed
to married.Due to this,I have some questions related to it.

(a) If I inform NY CIC about my status,do i have to start my PR for my wife right now or
I can start it later on once I got my PR ?

Please advise.

I believe you should update ur status immediately.

Today I got an e-mail from CIC buffalo office that my file has been transferred to Detroit office.
Let see how long Detroit takes to get back to me and ask if they need anything else. Following is my time line.

File transferred to Detroit, MI on Jan 25th 2011
Medicals reached to Ottawa: Oct 04th 2010
AOR and medical request forms rcvd: August 12th,20
CIC Application reached to Buffalo Office: May 6th, 2010.
Thanks

Good Luck on the transfer...Hope you get ppr very soon!!
Did you get a letter earlier from CIC, Buffalo saying that "no addtional doc reqd at this time...."???

No i never heard from Buffalo since I got AOR. didnt get anything from CIC in mail.
is that likely that Detroit can ask more documents? or I assume that my file is complete that is why they transferred it to Detriot.

I am in the same boat as you. Just recvd AOR from Buffalo, today my file was transferred to Detroit. Still Ecas shows Inprocess.

So Sr Members how long do u guys think i have to wait for my PPR?

Does the Ecas status change to ' Medicals Recvd' and then i get PPR or it doesnt really matter?

how is everyone dong so far?

Hey Despo, good to see you back. Everyone is fine here waiting. There were rumors on the forum about someone being detained in jail for for living on once side of the border and working on another side of Rainbow bridge....at the same time you were not posting here for a while so I was concerned if it was you :P

Ofcourse its a good sign and I was expecting some case transfers or PPR today. Did you read my post from this morning?

All those who have done medicals 6 months or earlier should be getting a PPR or case transfer in the comming weeks.

You will see more and more as the weeks go by.

No letter, nothing from Buffalo except AOR & transfer email.

on the other side my friend got that letter, but his file was not transferred.
