Need help.....We just got AOR and medical request yesterday. The instruction says we should arrange medical exam within 60 days, however I'm pregnant now and can not do X-ray until the baby is coming at the end of Sept. What should we do right now? Anyone was in the same situation, pls advise, thanks a lot.

BTW, medical exams need 2 passport size photograghs. Is this "passport size" referred to US passport or Canada passport or home country passport?

I think it's the same deal as when we sent pics with the CIC application - right? It's the size that's different. I just got the American size passport photos and cut them to size required by Canadian passport!

Hey Guys,

Try http://www.epassportphoto.com/...

I had been using it for all my immigration needs...

Works out to around 0.96 cents... try copying the output image file and print it out in target...

Hope this helps...

Other members who've gone through medicals have mentioned that a regular US 2x2 photo will do just fine for medicals. So you don't have to follow the stringent CIC pic routine.

Thank you, cooldeepforyou.

To Manny: I checked the Canadian passport photo specification. It's larger than US passport size (2 3/4x2 vs 2x2). So I think we cannot cut from US size into CA size. Here is a link for CA passport photo instruction.

I had my medicals today with Dr. Ava Kaufman in Bethesda, MD. They charged $350 for everything including XRays and mail charges. Was not covered under United Healthcare PPO Plan. The entire process was smooth and got over under 30min. For XRay they referred to another location in ChevyChase, MD with whom they have a tie up. I just went there for XRays and was told that the film would be sent directly to Dr. Kaufman. I was told that everything would be sent to Ottawa by next Wednesday. They are usually faster but coz of long weekend its taking bit more time. I do recommend Dr. Kaufman.

I also asked the assistant for photo specifications and was informed that immigration guys are not too picky about photo specification and as long as its US passport photo size, it will be fine.

Am trying to get reimbursement from my insurance, lets see.
