You do not mention your school break or vacation or employment under Education History section. In that section, you only write the times you were in school/college. Even if you did not finish a degree, you mention it there and write start to end dates and under type of certificate or diploma, write NONE.
The gaps/vacations/employment/unemployment/jail time, you write those under personal history section. It is fine to have gaps between degrees/programs (I had plenty of gaps). Only thing CIC does not like is gaps between dates under personal history. Make sure you have accounted for all the dates even if you were not doing anything (which is unemployed).

I meant school break is as in British system. Normally there will be a gap b/n High School, College and Higher Edu. And its about 3 months. Other than that if it is more than that state exactly what were you doing. It doesn't matter if you are unemployed. They want all the dates accounted for.

You are so right Nix. from the very begining I was always trying to ask the same thing. you just catched my question so properly.Even my understanding is the same .There should be no Gap in personal history section (its crystal clear and it is also clearly explained in the form)I didnt leave any gap in personal history section.
But I cant understand why they pointed the Gap in education history section. Offcourse there is gap after I finish my elementary school and before joining high school and there is Gap after I finish my high school and before joining college and so on.
but they only pointed the time gap betwen elementary school and high school and never pointed the time gap between high school and college. I dont know what to do

We only account for the time we attended school/college under education history section. and Rest of the times and activities go under personal history section
What should I do guys I cant ignore and send the document as it is I also doubt even if i explain each and every time frame in education history they might return my application again.(because nobody has explained none education time under education history)

I think I now know where the problem is coming from for you. If you look at the form carefully, they have asked for you to list the secondary and post secondary education. No need to write elementary. Start with your highest degree at the very top row, then go down to highschool (ISc or 10+2 or whatever you did that made you qualified to join a college). Stop in highschool level (start date and end date) and no need to worry about the gap between elementary and highschool.
It is not that common to have a big gap between elementary and highschool, but it is common between highschool and college and gradschool. When they saw you had a gap between those levels, they became concerned of something and want to know what you were doing. And you are the one who gave them that concern by providing not necessary info (elementary education). But remember this, on the top of the page, in one of the boxes, you need to write the number of years you were in each level of education and it asks for elementary school. That's the only place you need to mention something about elementary education. Good luck and see you in Canada.
oh man I never had to provide details of elementary education. it only says give full details of secondary and post secondary education. now I think thats the only reason why they asked for the time gap. Your situation has become a little tricky now on how to proceed. You are supposed to include the correction form that they sent you along with your application and it sounds like the form clearly asks you to tell what you were doing between your elementary and highschool. If you include that form and delete elementary education elementary info, they are going to think you are hiding something as the form specifically asked you to tell them what you were doing between elementary and highschool. If you do not mention elementary and also do not include the form that they sent you, they may ask you to submit that form later as they will know from the stamp they have on one of the forms with K number.
In my opinion, you have two options. You can go ahead with the elementary school information, explanation about the gap and submit everything as they were before.
OR
Submit your application as a new application and not mention the elementary education (which is not required) and do not include the correction form they have sent and also the form where they stamp K number. CIC claims that they do not keep any record of your application until they officially accept it. So, I cannot tell if they have any information about you and your application.
Please ask other members of this forum on how to proceed. Somebody might have a better idea for you.

I just submitted my application to cic today. i included both the elementary and high school education and what i was doing in between.
I decided I shouldnt avoid the correction form that they had sent me so I included my elementary education also.
Other than that I also included my most recent I-20 and made changes on pages where it ask for your current status as f1, made some changes in personal history due to change in status and signed it with current date. since they had a stamp on imm008 generic form I couldnt change my current occupation section on that form so I wrote a note about my change of status. Hopefully everything will be alright. lets see.
