Mine too was transfered to LA b4 a few people however they heard from the LA consulate and l've not so l'm thinking may be it's faster when you are single than when you are a family person. Just my thought.
You should get PPR this week. I guess they checked your file and everything looked good. As I have seen folks receiving PPRs have the letter dated 15-20 days prior to the actual posting.
Bendjoe,
Just checked my mail and nothing so i quess I should be expecting something at the end of the month when it would have been about 2 months that my file was transfered.

I could recommend you to send your RPRF immediately.

Sorry RJenkins and Bendjoe..Was busy at work and couldn't update later.

My PPR letter had the date of June 8 and it reached me on June 11th.
I sent my passport on June 11h subsequently thru overnight fedex. (Did the 2 new passport photos at walgreens right after work and shipped it right away)
Apparently it reached them on June 12th, friday.
This week on 17th I got a call from LA consulate that it has been stamped and they are sending the passports thru US certified mail.
Am expecting the passports (anxiously) by early next week.

To add, the ECAS status still shows up as "In process" for me. Hope they change it to approved or something in a little while. And it never got changed to "Medicals received" (just to give a perspective on LA consulate).

I am in dilemma. My family plans to visit India for 2 months and will come back on 22nd August. While they are gone on vacation, if I receive PPR, can I delay sending their passport until they return or do I have to curtail their stay?

I searched through different forums, some say PP needs to be sent within 30 days, after receiving PPR, while others say 60 days. Can someone confirm, within what time frame do I need to send PP after receiving PPR?

I sent an email to CDN NY, but as per message, after sending email, it might take 28 days for them to reply.

Thanks Chow. By the way, I had 2 dependants in my application (wife & kid). As someone pointed out, may be family applications get processed a little bit faster. Not sure abt that.

I wish that was entirely true. My application includes self, spouse, and two boys. Still no news about PPR. eCAS status still reads in process. :(
