Well maybe not now, maybe not next year but for sure one of these days the Government will impose those rules, if you move to one province stay in that province or else.
Some companies have that rule if they sponsor you and help with the moving expenses, you can't move to another companies for a period of time and if you move you have to paid back the expense.
So the only way to know is wait until the first one write about his PR canceled or his Citizenship was denied because he never follow the rules and try to play with the system.

Peace!

I think albertagovernor is right in all his arguments:
Certain people had flooded the market here, exploited every option, used fake resumes (i am talking 5 page resumes)and reddy consultant companies to get to the usa, flooded the h1b system, the GC process...
and now moved to flood/exploit all possibilities in canada as well.
look how much the processing time changed within the last year... they shut down IT categories first for AINP , then the whole AINP category...
soon they will impose new rules and sanctions, because people seem to find every option to exploit/flood the system... and they talk shit about USA and canada...
WHY DID YOU COME AT THE FIRST PLACE TO USA????? if you don't like

Hi,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2010/ob251.asp

This is from another thread but it looks like it is going to be tougher in the comming days to land in a provice other than Alberta when you are nominated by Alberta.

Thanks,
L.B

Today I received a letter from Buffalo which stated as:

"We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing."

Also, the letter confirmed receipt of my medicals and indicated "No additional documents are required at this time." Now i need to send the RPRF 490/- USD or CAD.

Thanks,
SS

I agree with ABgov on this one...things will get tougher and government will get smarter as they see people abusing the provincial nominee categories.....
Here is a new operational bulletin that was released recently

Just keep yourself up to date with latest information regarding requirements....rules can change as we progress...

CIC has your signature on the intent to settle in Alberta. If you have sincerely tried to settle in Alberta by establishing some proof like utilities, rental place and records that could be asked at time of Citizenship it will not be a problem.

But from day one of your PR if you land in a provice other than Alberta and stay there from day one or if you plan to live accross one border and work across the border and have your legs in two different boats it can be a problem. your intent is clear in such cases.

first of all IT was taken out of the NOC
then the H1B visa category was closed
even the family based AINP category was closed.

now they are getting more strict on your intent to settle.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2010/ob251.asp

why? all this is because of the people who abuse the system.

IT category was closed because everyone from CEO to janitor applied as IT profressional. H4 housewifes applied as testers and QA.
H1B was finally closed because all IT developers suddenly became project managers and found another NOC codes.
then family stream was close as people tried to get father, mother, uncle, aunt, neigbour, maid... etc. when there is unemployment.
finally landing from provice other than the one nominating became a fashion.

who are the ones suffering? the ones who truely want to migrate to canada but want to do landing formalites prior to moving. those who genuinly want to land from rainbow bridge or windsor tunnel by road just to complete formalties before they move.

it would help if landing was done by road and would be much cheaper. but people want to land and apply pr cards with ontario address. probably some address of a guest house which is given by 7 immigratants who landed recently.

what else will we expect when the system that was designed to give a better life is being abused.

You make sense all the time AG. You speak about how we end up abusing the fundamentals by thwarting the technicals -- ALL THE TIME. Truth hurts, no wonder why you have most -ve rating on the forum cuz you end up speaking the truth.

Do you ever wonder why we do this? Somehow i believe, we have convinced ourselves that rules, laws, honesty etc can be and should be compromised for self interest and for convenience ALL THE TIME.

I do not know why people should hurry up to complete their landing formalities and end up doing so by taking the routes other than what is advocated or expected from us by the authorities. Its a sham and we will continue to do so. It's no surprise that we have mastered on many fronts but we have PhD in " the concept of self"

Our motto??: Me first & we first, all others may rot

Peace.

Lettuce
lettuce,

i agree with you that people do not follow what is expected by the authorities. the problem is not landing other routes. it sure makes sense to land through routes that are economical. but the final motive should be to immigrate to canada and the province that has given them the nomination and PR. people are not only landing in other provinces but are also applying their PR card and SIN in the other province and on top of it providing address for the PR card delivery in that province. this raises the eyebrows on the immigration heads.

thus making it difficult for those who genuinely want to land in a differnt province for economical reasons and finally destined to Alberta. all want to save money and should. so landing through rainbow bridge or windsor tunnel by car is not a bad idea. but keep it only to that and not try to make that provice a destination as the fact is it is an abuse to AINP.

dear friends.

wishing you all a very happy thanksgiving. let us learn to respect and thank the nation that has given us the current opportunity to live and work in. also thank the nation that is opening the doors for a better future and stable immigration status.

yeah right this might sound too philosophical or a stupid preaching. how many of you who think of it that way are truely appreciative of what you have in life? retrospect before you abuse what is there as it wont be there too long if you abuse.
