Online Visa(CIC)- India- Processing Time

Hi,

I have completed my study permit application on 12-April,2015
My status is still open, only the medical results is in passed status. They are yet to review my documents.
The website states 3 weeks as processing time.

Any idea what is causing the delay, all docs are in order.

Anyone else experiencing the same situation?

unfortunately, CIC ppl do not process online applications as fast as they should... i've seen ppl waiting for more than a month to get any response...
on the other hand, offline applications are processed quite faster comparatively.
nonetheless, if your documents are perfect there is no need to worry...

I am dealing with the same problem. I applied for study permit a month back and the status is still open. In fact my college has already started last week.

From the information you've given, looks like you've applied for your visa too late. They do recommend to apply atleast 2 months in advance.

From the information you've given, looks like you've applied for your visa too late. They do recommend to apply atleast 2 months in advance.

One of my friend who is in canada now applied through CIC and he got the visa in 10 days.

Ok, thats a classic NO-NO! they very clearly mentioned (I can;t remember where now) that you shouldn't apply online and through VFS as that would cause two incidents of the same person and which is why it will take longer to process. Always go through the website in detail before taking any step.

My start date is 31 Aug 2015 and I have applied online in United States.The processing time says 5 week if online applications filed from US are processed in US only but I am not sure abt it.

I had sent a mail to LA office and they replied that my file is in queue for processing

I had applied online on May 5th an my medicals were passed on 10th of May.
But since then, i have no updates !! Is this normal ? I am worried as they say processing from New Delhi takes 3 weeks and it is approaching 3 weeks.
Experts, please help !!
