Hello! I got a message today to send my passport to the Consulate General of Canada in New York. I'm wondering if I could drop it off instead of mailing it to the office address. I'm worried if it will take longer to get my passport back once it's easy for me to get there, I'm Brazilian, and my passport is my ID here. Thank you very much!

My experience in Canada is..It took only 6 days to get my passport back after the stamping. I stay in Toronto and had my passport sent to Ottawa. I had used the ExpressPost option with the return envelop as well. It took exactly 6 days start from the day I had sent and the time I had received.
Just check the processing times for visa stamping at your office. It will be generally faster than what they mention there. So I would suggest you to post your passport unless if it is very nearer to you.
