I applied in September 2019 and also waiting for the online test invite. Yesterday we received emails from the IRCC saying we did not forget about you, this is normal, wait. Is this a good sign that i will get the test invite? Has anyone else got similar email?
This is absurd, why would they send you this email instead of processing/finalizing your application? You applied in September 2019 and it's been over a year now. Unless you are a special case, I would ask for my processing fee back. After all, PRs have the right for a due process and IRCC must process applications within a reasonable time.

I think that that email was from cic online account related to earlier PR application. I think that there were few posts on the data was breached or something like that few days ago. This email is not related to citizenship application.

I’m trying to understand the urgency

1. do you not have a passport to travel?
2. Pr card expired? ( you can renew it for $50)

I don’t see anything we can’t go except vote

am I missing something?
Oh, yes, you definitely are missing the main point. You are here on this forum for the same reason. Secondly, they have been paid for that, thus they must fulfill their duties. IRCC has taken too long for getting their stuff (and staff) straightened out. Enough of BS from Mendicino. They are serving the purpose of granting Cship to residents, I wonder why you doubt that. Putting urgency to whatever else is no longer a viable excuse. And if you are ok getting yours 10 years down the road no one is preventing you from sending a request to that effect to IRCC any time you find it convenient.

I haven't been scheduled for in-person test before. This is the first invite.
I applied in September 2019 from New Brunswick.
Fingerprints requested end of February 2019.
Submitted March 2019.
Correction:

I just realized that I made mistakes in my post and I can't correct it.
Dates are respectively February 2020 and March 2020.
Good luck everyone. Hope we all become Canadian citizens soon !

you're correct but...
my husband is Canadian by birth so are my children, my life is in Canada. And becoming a citizen is an important step in becoming Canadian

For some jobs you have to be a citizen. I can be hired for 90 workdays a year but not longer until I'm a citizen. Other jobs are even stricter. Also voting or running for anything political

I gave up .. was starting to get anxiety attacks and all .

I only wish the current government would value communication with would be citizens ..
- as much as they love posting their daily shenanigans on social media .

It’s borderline disrespectful in my opinion .

Such disregard for other people’s concerns can linger for long .. longer than election day .

I have never heard or seen such a thing.

1. Please copy-paste the image of the email after redacting personal info.
2. Also check the sender's email address in full - let it not be a scam. If it is a scam, report it to IRCC at once via web-form

Hi, sorry I just had question.

Has anyone applied for citizenship being a protected person before? I just had a question regarding what to put in the section regarding "have you ever been under removal order" (have you ever been asked by the officials to leave Canada) before? Because legally it has never been valid or enforceable, so technically it has never come into force or existed, so one has never been asked to leave Canada.

Thank you for your assistance

I’m sure it gives him a buzz

Some people get a high from bashing and demotivating other people .

Why would you want to understand the urgency of an issue to someone else ?

How exactly did you find away of making the whole issue about you and yourself in the first place ?
