Online Application problem.

Hello everyone.
I submitted my Online application for a Study Permit on 05.20.16
after I submitted the application I got this email : "You have a new message(s) in your MyCIC account.
To view your message, log into MyCIC."

I logged in and there was 2 messages waiting for me that basically indicates that my application is open now and they will start working on it. Since then I've been checking my email every now and then to see if there's any changes.
One day afterwards I got an email that says : "Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your MyCIC account and check your application status and messages for more information." So I logged in and there was no change, so I just dropped it but two days ago I got the same email and again there was no change, no update and no new messages. I'm afraid that something might not be working right, maybe they need another document and they can't reach me. Does someone knows what should I do? or how I can contact them about it?

It happens to everyone, they always send update emails and there is nothing updated. It means that they're working on your application, nothing to worry about. Did you get the Biometrics message? They might want you to go do the biometrics

In that case how can I at all find out if it is the biometric msg or not..? Any ideas on who to contact on that and how?

The biometrics msg is on your CIC account, it's an automated msg that's sent on the same day you submit your application. It is called "Biometrics Collection Letter" it says to print it out and go to any Canadian visa centre to take your biometrics.

I got only these two messages :
- Confirmation of Online Application Transmission
- Submission Confirmation

I didn't got nothing about Biometrics. Everyone should provide Biometrics?

Not everyone needs to provide biometrics. Check this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp it will determine whether you need to or no.

Also a common occurance to get an email saying application updated even if nothing visible as seems if someone at CIC does an update in background these emails get sent and are nothing to worry about as at least shows someone is working an application.
