msladybug nakapagpamedical ka today sa St. Luke's The Fort? I did mine today sa IOM. Medyo crazy lang ang set-up kasi they don't have their Xray machine and people have to go to another clinic within the same building to take our Xray. So far so good naman. The doctor offered to expedite my case since malapit na nga ang pasukan. Sana ma-iforward results within next week.

I'm still in Bicol DocRz but I'll be travelling to Manila tonight. Will go to SLMC Global on Monday if I don't have the red alert. I guess the Doctor will forward your result. Considerate naman siguro sila

Where will you stay btw DocRz? My one month rental in Whitby is 500C$ but I haven't paid yet.

Ah... Ok, I thought you went straight back to Manila yesterday. Sa IOM hindi ako nirequire maghubad. Top lang... Kinondisyon ko pa naman sarili ko. Hehe.

I'll be staying with a family friend in Calgary. Buti na lang kasi mahal ang on-campus accommodation sa University of Calgary. Tiyagaan na lang ang travel kasi around 1 hour ang travel to school.

May relative naman sana ako sa Toronto and North York. Problem is 2 hours drive kapag public transit. Parang Condo rental charge sa accomodation. Haha what are your preparations? Do you know where to open a good bank account in Canadian Dollars here in the Philippines?

US Dollar account meron ako. Ang plan ko is to bring cash and bank draft. Ipapaexchange ko na lang ung USD ko to CAD. Then I'll buy a bank draft para hindi cash bitbit ko. Sa Canada na kasi ako mag-oopen ng bank account kasi I'll pay my tuition through direct debit na lang.
Major banks like BPI, BDO and Metrobank meron foreign currency accounts.

Wala naman akong masyadong preparation as of now. Madali lang naman bumili ng mga additional na gamit. More of the visa ang worries ko.

Hello po DocRZ,ask ko lng po if kasama sa designated medical ang st lukes global? Kase may MR n din mga anak ko for Study permit pero wala nakalagay na st lukes global, puro ermita lang, san po makikita yun para dun na lang kme magpa medical kase malapit po sa amin, ok po ba

Hi minsky! Sabi it's newly accredited and not in the list yet but some applicants had or will be having their medicals there. I had mine in IOM. I think it's better in St.Luke's pero I'm in a time constrained situation and IOM processes medicals faster than St.Luke's. Si msladybug doon magpapamedical so I think accredited ang St.Luke's Global.

Online applicant din po ako Spousal open work permit, pag online application po sabe nila direct na agad ang result sa CEM, online din po ang result, ganun din po ba yun sa inyo? Or like sa paper base application yun sinasabe nila after 10days pag wala tawag sayo ibig sabihin ok medical mo? Senxia na po dame ask, baka nxt week kme magpa medical sa IOM na lang din para sure, salamat

Hi minsky! Nagbook na po kayo ng appointment sa IOM? Sa IOM po kasi dapat magpabook kayo. Sa St. Luke's naman walk-in, wala appointment. St. Luke's Global is newly established kaya wala pa sila sa list ng CEM pero nkaforward na sila and konti plng sa kanila nagpapamed exam kaya mas madali compared sa St. Luke's extension clinic sa Ermita.

@DocRz: Thanks for sharing your plans with me. Is it advisable to transfer the money from the bank account used for the show money to a new US bank account or might as well a bank draft?

Same procedure on how medical works for both paper-based and online application. The hospital/clinic sends the results directly to the embassy themselves.

msladybug I'm not sure kung pwede I transfer ung peso funds to a USD account. Usually dapat dollars din idedeposit mo. But we can buy a bank draft sa bank using peso tapos to be converted to dollars kapag we received our visa. Alam ko this way lang tayo pwede bumili ng dollars sa bank. Try mo sa money changers kung pwede bumili ng USD.
