[Online Applicants] Test completed in more than 2 months and everything else still in progress(including BG)?

guessing that's the million dollar question It really depends, some of the cases BGC and prohibitions are completed together towards the end of the processing! One thing for sure is that our cases (test done and BGC still in progress) are going to be prolonged, fact BGC are in process pending 3 different agencies's completion!

Mid of Feb and got completed after 3 days.

That’s true. Stay put. I’m not expecting anything in a few months at least. Applied June 1st 2021 and All are in process including BGC and Citizenship test. Test is completed at their end and passed already since Feb 11th but they didn’t update it (as per their email confirming the same and agent on the phone confirmed that too). For BGC, expect our cases to go for the full 27 months. I even ordered my ATIP notes two months ago (not that I’ll learn anything new from those) and even they are yet to be received! So CIC is very busy these days.

@grapehair - are you sure this will be a non routine application if test completed but bgc still in progress? when did you complete the test? mine is mid march and no update after that .. bgc still in progress..

Sad to learn that it ll take months form now.. any one know of anyboday else whose bgc was processed after test complete but no FP or passport copies requested?

I do not expect our cases to go the full 27 months at all. Seen a very clear trend with applications from Scarborough office where test invite is sent before the BG check is completed. I've observed about 4 months after test is marked completed, BGC check is completed followed by the oath in 4-8 weeks.

The 27 month is more of a deterrent for people not to call the office etc. If you monitor other groups, 2021 applications are getting processed fairly quickly with very little delays. It's the 2018-2020 applications that are suffering.

Thank you. I think based on the trends I have seen, By Mid-June BGC should be complete if not earlier. I combed through the Google sheets tracker and found many cases like us where total processing time was 12-16months despite the additional time for BGC verification. Stay positive!

Thanks for ending on the positive note. I’m just guessing here since as per their criteria my application is still non routine. But again, it’s IRCC, so I’ve tried to not let this be a distraction to the future plans. Although I’ll most likely be moving out of Ontario around September, then it’ll officially become non routine lol

It's been 6 months after test...

I am in the same boat.. July 2021 online applicant , processing office is Montreal - I don't know how but I am based in Halifax . Test was completed in March 2022, finger print was requested in April 2022, RCMP mailed finger print details in April itself ..BG is still in progress ..no update for more than 45 days

No updates yet. GCMS notes are showing criminality passed but looks like security clearance is under way.
