Hey everyone one - any update on the status? Big silence from my side.

Fingerprints Requested, submitted and received on May 2022 ( BG STILL IN PROGRESS)
Test completed August 2022

Finally!! And after more than 2 years.. I'm happy to share that my application was updated and the background check and LPP are now completed!

Timelines:

Mar 2021: Application submitted
Aug 2021: AOR
Nov 2021: Test Scheduled
Nov 2021: Test Completed
Nov 2021: 1st FP request
Dec 2021: 1st FP received
Dec 2022: 2nd FP request
Dec 2022: 2nd FP received
Feb 2023: BG Check Completed
Mar 2023: Interview Required
Mar 2023: LPP Completed

Oath invitation is the next step for me. Hope that will come sooner than later..

My advice is just to be patient and hang in there... You can be proactive and follow up with IRCC but unfortunately that does not always help, especially when the application is stuck in the security clearance. There's little to no information that they share in those cases. My application was stuck in security clearance for 16 months. I contacted IRCC by phone and by email countless number of times without getting any useful information.

Thanks to everyone in this forum who helped by sharing their information, timelines, and perspectives. And best of luck to anyone that has their application still in progress, especially to those with the security clearance pending.
