Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello Members,

I received a call from Canada High commission yesterday.
they asked series of question which I replied.

At the last they asked that whether my wife is working.
She was on a contract job at that time and joined on 7th Dec 2015, I submitted file on 16th Feb 2016. Since she was planning to leave the job suddenly and just to not have any bad feedback from the employer I wrote unemployed.

But during the call as it was all sudden I said that she is working.
Now I am in dilemma that should I write an e-mail to my VO saying that while filling the form I forgot to mention my wife's job and am updating the same.
Or should I leave as it is and not take any action?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Best Regards,
OMSAIOM

Any suggestions anyone.
Desperately looking for answer.
Will it be considered as misrepresentation.

I'm no expert but that doesn't seem too bad for me.
I mean, you didn't get any CRS points for your wife's work anyway, so it didn't really have any impact on your application.
Did they ask any details about her work?
And anyway, who says she didn't get employed after you submitted your application, and so hadn't been working at that time, but is now? That's a possible scenario, so I don't think this discrepancy in your answers will raise any red flags.

Definitely wait for other answers, maybe ask Asivad or Legalfalcon, but I just thought I'd write my thoughts to ease your mind a little.

Should I write to them saying about the mistake that occurred and I submit it now.

I agree with Ellia, Your wife working now has nothing to do with her status before AOR, IMO dont stress too much on this.

She was working from before, but we misplaced the appointment letter and had no document to support the employment and hence we wrote as unemployed.
We have that document now but am not sure should I send the update to VO.

Sending that document now would create some confusion IMO, Since you didnt claim any points for that IRCC dont even care about it.

Agreed! Don't complicate things. Your wife could have started work after your AOR, hence your answer. Just relax...

I am more worried about that after listening to my answer if VO asks me to submit the documents of my wife job and if she finds that the appointment letter date is before AOR, this will create more complexity.

Your spouse's employment status is irrelevant to this PR application. Don't send them any explanation, none required here.

I agree with the other members contributions here, don't worry about this, you are not claiming points for her work experience. I don't see why CIC would have any issues with what you said on the phone, your wife may have just gotten the job very recently and it could be a temporary/part-time job, which CIC doesn't request references for. I don't think you need to send any additional documents, that would only elongate the application processing time.

Just to be more clear. Are we not required to update CIC of any change that happens with our situation. And do we need to do this for spouse as well?
