Good thread. I have had tonnes of moments:

- My application went to 'in progress' on December 10th. Normally (based on the London VO spreadsheet) this means you are only days away from a decision. But my IEC visa was expiring and I had to enter on my 2nd one before Xmas. At the border the customs agent says "I see you're applied for PR" and I say "yes it would be a nice Xmas present if CIC could get it to me before then" and she says "oh I'm sure they'll try their hardest" with a little grin on her face. I take this to mean 'your PR has been accepted and is in the post!'. Of course I was totally wrong...
- I stupidly signed up for the ECAS tracker. A couple of weeks back I get an email saying my ECAS status has updated. 'Finally!' I think, must have decision made.... Nope. It took the ECAS tracker almost 3 months to email me that my status had changed to 'in progress' back in December.
- Pretty much the same thing happened last week but with the status now being 'medical results received'.

So yeh most of my paranoia comes from thinking my PR has been issued when it hasn't

We finally decided to email our VO asking them how things are (this is 3 weeks after they informed us of asking for medical extensions from London). The emailed us back within a couple of hours (wow!) just saying that our file is being processed as per usual (their words).

Our file sat there in the VO for 7 months without anyone touching it from July 2012 to Jan 2013. Now I worry that "as per usual" means they are putting it back in storage as they go " muhahahahaha" :-X

My case is a very straigtforward one. No ex, no children and here I am 4 years later waiting for the love of my life. I just e-mailed my MP today to see whats going on. They dont say it, but I do believe that all this waiting is due to cutbacks. Thats fine, all I ask for transparency !!!!!! :
