ON THE LIGHTER SIDE: Paranoia during the "wait"

OH YEAAYY I'm not the only one losing my HeAd in this process...

I'm one of those over hyper, cant handle not knowing kind of people... and OMG the wait is KiLliNggggg!!! Every morning as soon as my eyes open I jump onto the website- even if its 6 am and I had checked it the previous night just before sleeping....

Then one fine day I found this forum I realised that some people get lucky and get they PP back wiz PR before the suggested time... and that's when all hell broke loose in my head... I've become a walking talking zombie haunting the e-CAS page and this forum.....
Only God can help my soul now....

I am getting a lot more worry-free compared to when I first read posts in this forum. But here is goes again, hearing a member talking about how the embassy asks for more proofs because apparently the embassy doesn't see their relationship genuine just yet. :/

Well at least I know they gave them a chance to prove themselves to CIC instead of just rejecting the application.

Thanks for liking the thread. At first, I was hesitant to post this thread coz I thought I might sound overreacting but hey, at least now I know I am totally not alone.

Awww thanks again gsize.

That's very true tho, it's really hard to keep calm during this wait. My friend's husband landed last December and she kept reminding to calm down during the process because her experience was that she thought about it almost everyday and it stressed her more.
However I try to keep calm, paranoia still visits quite often, it must miss me a bunch. LOL

Humor is really important. If I couldn't laugh, I probably would've jumped off a bridge long ago.

Just got a lovely text from my boyfriend saying he "found a weird criminal-like photo of me in his wallet" ( when I got my immigration photo's done, the guy gave me a couple extra! So I gave my boyfriend one). Now.. mind you, not the greatest photo of me.. No smile whatsoever because I wasn't sure if you are allowed to!! After he texted that he goes, "I'm gonna have to report this to immigration!"

Does anyone else's boy/girlfriend or husband/wife joke about reporting stuff to immigration or calling them to drop your file
My guy seems to think its hilarious! Not! :-X

"Oh, hey, there's an email from CIC."

Silence.

"They rejected you. You have to leave."

Silence.

He turns around. I'm glaring. "We got sponsor approval last week. They haven't even looked at my file yet!"

He laughs and runs away.

The first time he ever logged into CIC website's was when he got AOR. He read the email, then tried logging into Ecas. Somehow he got on the Family Class front page.

He reads conditional sponsorship out loud... loudly! Then turned to me and grin "You're stuck with me now!"

My reply? "Only for two years."

At least that one, we had a laugh and hugged at the end.

I'm so used to his jokes, I'm just mean mean mean back to him. Like when he tells me 'he's got a present for me.' I reply "Ice cream?" each time instead of his... cough... actually present.

definately not nice !! If I were you, I would let him know that you dont appreciate that kind of talk (little does he know how horribe this process is for many)

If he continues, I would say......find a new partner.

I will say this in reply to you and gsize..... some people handle that kind of teasing okay and some don't. If you can't handle it now, don't expect it to get better. Especially if it's over the top bullying. If it's just playful, learn to be a stink wad and ruin all his jokes.

Luckily for us (me) I have the personality of a 13 year old boy. I've used the 'pull my finger' joke on him.

I torment mine while he's at work. I can't work, so I'm at home all day. I send him pictures of me relaxing on the couch with his cat/princess. Then I'll be like "OMG my day is so hard, I chipped my nail polish washing dishes."

Haha our lives are similar. (So are our timelines !) I can't work either so I hangout with our precious chocolate lab all day. It's exhausting...... Lol!
