I just ordered my notes (first time btw), and i wasnt ask to pay anything. I just got an email saying to wait for 31 days before sending any inquires about my request. Is it normal that they didnt ask me to pay the 5$?

It seems you used the Privacy Act and not the Access to Information Act.

Privacy Act is only used when the PA is in Canada.

You will need to order them again, this time using the Access to Information Act.

Also, your spouse has to fill out IMM5744 to give consent to CIC to release her application information to you.

all i can say is wait, you're alsmost there. dont make your spouse come over when the process is almost finished. I mean like you said, if he comes, and next week voila the visa ready to be issued. how would he feel having spend all that money, not that money is more important than you, but you get me right?

Also if you dont mind, what kind of documents did they ask you to provide 8months after you filed? That's weird to wait that long for a document request.

yeah that's true! but then this waiting is so difficult it's our 1st year anniversary today and we're not together to celebrate it please pray for me.. this is so stressful
they asked me for my husband's employee letter, notice of assessment, t4 statement, passport size photographs, national identity card copy and a newly updated schedule A form...

did you have to send all the documents by mail or did you scan them and send them via the case specific inquiry form?

i recieved this notification when i checked the cic website but im not sure what this means.. is my wife closer to getting her pr now?
her application is in process but this is the msg it says.

Permanent Residence
1.We received your application for permanent residence on December 14, 2015.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 21, 2016.
3.We started processing your application on February 22, 2016.
4.Medical results have been received.

does this mean my wife is closer to getting her pr visa??

No, it just mean that they are processing your application. No hint how far they are in the process

what does she put under section B? her info or my info

And section C, who is the designated contact information?

the file number is that the application starting with F00?

And when she finishes the consent form, does she like scan it to me or take a picture with her phone?

Have her scan and email it to you

we are always denied or refused visa from this part of the world (Nigeria).
well it is said we ll reunite soon though I applied in November 2015 and now 9 months waiting for ppr.

Samola10 what's your 20 with your application? I am just wondering what happened to you.

Thanks eagle passport not yet sent they gave him back on the interview day 24th may.we sent only COPIE of medical as we did re medical in November 2015 without being asked coz we knew they are gonna ask which has saved us time now.we attached with cover letter and the updated form thanksAt least got a reply from u will let u know the contents of the notes will receive soon God bless u I'm in Montreal.
